“Show Me the Chicken” is an illustrated field guide that locations, categorizes and describes the best fried chicken in Austin. The physical book is perfect bound with a soft cover. Click on the title to read!
These are images of the physical perfect final “Show Me the Chicken”. The book includes 15 illustrations of Austin’s finest fried birds.
This is a map that details and connects the goals, projects, and tools associated with S.E.T.I. (the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence). It includes two info graphics!
This is a timeline created for my graphic design history final. This timeline chronicles all of the information that was taught in the class by breaking up graphic design history into movements.
We were asked to design a symbol for a cause and I chose Feminism. Feminism is often paired with extremism and rejection of what is feminine. I created a symbol of a feminine figure to attempt to suggest that feminism is more approachable and does not fit into the stereotype that society has placed upon it.
We had to redesign a website based on illuminated manuscripts that we viewed at the Blanton. We redesigned the website www.booooooom.com which is a popular website to explore art on. The top webpage is our redesign and the bottom is the original.

This was an exploration on the gestalt principles in which we paired different shapes with consistent type to see how the meaning was altered.

These are images from a prototype of the "Eastside Homes Stories & Poems" book. This will be its final form when all of the illustrations have been submitted.
This is a link to some example spreads from my book "Eastside Homes Stories and Poems". This book was created by taking images in a neighborhood in East Austin. I sent these images to volunteers (who were unfamiliar with the area) and had them write down what they thought about the home. I prompted them to explore what kind of lives the homes contained and what emotions they felt when looking at the houses. They sent back their responses and I am in the process of illustrating the homes. The homes will be illustrated by 3 other artists and myself. When the illustrations are done the book will be completed. The book is perfect bound with a soft cover.
This is a time lapse I made of a bike trip in East Austin. It was made to show the neighborhoods many different facets through an interesting perspective. It is also a commentary on what it is like to commute by bicycle in Austin. There was a glitch and the title and ending text are not visible. (Note: This video has sound!)
This is a small book that was inserted into the main TASA booklet. I designed the TASA activity guide with these sub books to allow easy access to each day's events.

This is a link to the main component of my TASA booklet. There are two booklets that nest inside of this booklet through saddle stitch stapling. I will post those next.
This piece was created in After Effects. It is a motion piece designed to show a futuristic weather program that would be controlled by a user. In order to create this I broke up the piece based on elements of the LATCH system (location, alphabetical, time, category, hierarchy). The elements used are Location, Alphabet, and Time. (This video has sound!)
We had to create a poster and series of buttons for a fictional commission at the Blanton. I created buttons based on the International Style movement.
These are images from the instructional flossing book. It is a hard cover, perfect bound book. It has a built in floss pocket and mirror.
