Vegan Spring Onion Parathas are a flavorful and nutritious Indian flatbread stuffed with fresh spring onions and spices. They are easy to make and perfect for a wholesome meal.
Ingredients: 2 cups whole wheat flour. 1/2 cup finely chopped spring onions. 1 green chili, finely chopped. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder. 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder. Salt to taste. Water as needed. 2 tablespoons oil for cooking.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, chopped spring onions, green chili, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Roll out each ball into a thin circle using a rolling pin. Heat a skillet or tawa over medium heat. Place a rolled-out paratha on the skillet and cook until bubbles start to appear on the surface. Flip the paratha and drizzle some oil on top. Cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls. Serve hot vegan spring onion parathas with your favorite vegan curry or chutney.
