Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 2/3 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Oil for frying. 1 cup powdered sugar. 3-4 tbsp milk. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
Instructions: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract should all be combined in a separate bowl. Once a soft dough forms, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir. Roll out the dough to a 1/2-inch thickness on a surface dusted with flour. To cut out donuts with holes in the middle, use a glass or a donut cutter. Heat oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. A few at a time, carefully drop the donuts into the heated oil and cook them until golden brown, turning once. Using a slotted spoon, remove and place on paper towels to drain. To make the glaze, combine milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. After dipping each donut into the glaze and letting the excess fall off, place them on a wire rack to harden.
