secret identity.
dongha never thought he’d come across his hidden past within the walls of the legacy entertainment training facilities of all places. he caught glimpses of it before, but he managed to chalk it up to his active imagination and the unsatisfying ending that he wrote up for his webtoon—but now, that same enamel keychain of his main character is right in front of him, attached to another trainee’s bag. what a coincidence!
there’s no way he’d mistake it for any other character, or any other fandom. dongha remembers arguing with the printer vendor when they messed the test run up, needing to move to another vendor with the event deadline so close—it’s his design, clearly, and @lgcminnie has it strapped to her bag!
“hey!” he approaches, oh-so-casual, nothing out of the ordinary, showing off the little acting points he’s been racking up slowly. “what’s that keychain on your bag?” he asks, sounding curious—to be fair, he is, but probably not for the reason why minnie thinks he is. “is it from a show?” he follows up, feigning ignorance. it’s from his webtoon, after all, technically discontinued and left for dust.
the new trend was having something called a labubu strapped to your bag. and although the trend was tempting, minnie couldn't let go of her enamel keychain. (it was her emotional support main character of a discontinued webtoon.) maybe she would on her other bag, she thinks. she does have her duffle as well.
just as she was fully tempted to pull out her phone and search up those dolls, her attention is pulled. "huh?" she's surprised that anyone would ask about the keychain, considering it wasn't that eye catching. she glances down, despite knowing exactly what keychain he was talking about. "oh yeah! it's a great webtoon that i read! honestly would've been a favourite, had it been finished."
minnie couldn't help but be excited. she loves discussing things that she reads, especially webtoons. this one was interesting and had more depth than she expected to it. it wasn't one of the viral webtoons like lore olympus or true beauty, but it had a decent and loyal following. "i can tell you about it, if you want? it's still up for daily pass on webtoon."
hearing mostly compliments from minnie surprised dongha, as much as he’s trying to play it cool. he wonders whether he’s being obvious, peering over the merch he remembers drawing and marveling at its quality ( his sisters kind of destroyed the samples he received a while back, using them as toys ). he’s surprised he found his character in the legacy building of all places, most of all.
“oh, was it not finished?” he questions, playing dumb and clueless, despite knowing that it was his fault it got discontinued. dongha got busy, uninspired, wasn’t sure how to end the story. he technically had an ending, but it was so rushed and abrupt it wasn’t a proper one… and then came the discontinued announcement he had to post.
“trust me, i’m an avid reader!” and a writer who once stood amongst the names of webtoon creators. “my ears are open, i’m ready for a session of infodumping.” truth be told, dongha also purely wanted to know what readers thought of his masterpiece so far, and he thinks minnie is someone who can be 100% honest with him. even more so because she doesn’t know it was him who created the webtoon.
“give me the good and the bad… i’m pick with what i read!” he adds on lightheartedly.
