honestly i believe the reason why so many girls on tumblr consider themselves “nb girls” is because they think cis privilege is a real thing but they don’t feel like it applies to them — because, guess what, no female is privileged for identifying with the gender enforced on them.
they also want a say in trans issues but feel like they couldn’t if they were a mere “cis”, because they’re a believer of lane discourse: “stay in your lane because you’re cis so you can’t have an opinion on trans people” kinda shit.

hi all! i haven’t been very active lately on here but i wanted to share this since i’ve shared it on all my other social media platforms. i’m offering tarot readings at affordable prices!
if you’re feeling lost trying to read the signs the universe is directing your way, tarot can be a powerful tool to gain clarity and insight. i take it seriously as a central part of my own spiritual practice, and i love being able to share this practice with others.
giving readings is something that energizes and grounds me, as well as something that can go a long way towards helping me cover my rent/utilities expenses each month. if you’re interested in a reading, message me for more info! feel free to reblog!
Iconic
When someone is a Christian they are not constantly asked their position on the holocaust, the transatlantic slave trade, the extermination of Native Americans or any of the thousands of atrocities committed by Christians. So why do Muslims get asked about terrorism and Jews about Israel and are grouped in with specific bad people while Christians are not required to explain themselves.
Now, there’s a thought.
“A child who’s told she has to do more housework than her brother because she’s a girl, or that she can’t be an astronaut when she grows up because she’s a girl, is likely to say “that’s not fair!” A boy who is told he cannot play with dolls because he’s a boy, or that he cannot be a secretary when he grows up, may find that unfair as well. But the boy who is told he can’t be a nurse is being told that he is too good to be a nurse. The girl, on the other hand, is essentially being told that she is not good enough to be a doctor.”

“i spent all my teenage years being obsessed with beauty. i’m very resentful about it and i’m very angry. i had so much intelligence and energy and drive and instead of using that to study more, instead of pursuing something, instead of going out and learning about the world, changing the world, i directed all that fire inward and burnt myself up and tried to make myself beautiful and perfect.”

one time we were listening to fleetwood mac in the car and my sister who was probably 4 at the time asked, without being prompted, “can girls marry girls?” and THAT is the power of stevie nicks
