A Jew makes a Jewish story. It gets popular. It gets readapted. The Judaism is erased. We get told to get over it and make our own stories.

“Erm I don’t think that character is Jewish-“
Nah he is man. Trust me.
your daily reminder that the UN, which between 2015-2024 passed 172 resolutions condemning Israel and 78 condemning every other country, has never been a neutral body when it comes to Israel
if you aren't using the same energy you use about israel/palestine to talk about ukraine (who is actually being invaded), china (who is actually committing a genocide), or the arab gulf countries (who actually target their minority populations)
then i actually don't really care what you have to say because your performative activism and selective empathy is rooted in jew hatred <3
No guys, you don't get it. Yeah, the past hundred times or so this conspiracy theory was used to justify violence against Jews were fake, but THIS TIME it's REAL!
from "the new antisemitism: the resurgence of an ancient hatred in the modern world" by shalom lappin
you guys are SO close to getting it!! maybe if your ideology and beliefs about the jewish people is consistent with the alt right nazis, perhaps it’s time to reconsider.
as they say, if you’re eating dinner with nine normal people and one nazi, there are eleven nazis at the dinner table.
i cannot emphasize enough that these excerpts were two paragraphs apart
"i want to convert but all the literature recommended is (((zionist)))" we all know by zionist you mean mention israel in any context.
i dont even know how u delude urself to this point. how do u expect to convert? like what. are you going to plug your ears during shabbat? start yelling if you hear hebrew? refuse to enter a synagogue? have everything you read censored? celebrate holidays in a way that's devoid of its meaning and origins? avoid most jews? turn away food that's too ((zionist))? spit at rabbis who assign your required readings? refuse to learn the history of the people you supposedly want to be apart of?
what is left for you? ""values"" separated from context, censored prayers translated from a language you hate, a bastardization of holidays you celebrate alone, a torah you do not read, a tribe you want to be a part of but do not care for, and an identity you'd only claim when it's time to talk over other jews?
you dont want to convert. you want to culturally appropriate judaism.
why are nonjews so obsessed with wanting to endlessly ethnically cleanse us from any country ever while insisting on 'identifying' with our suffering stripped from our peoples literal corpses
Karen Gerson Şarhon, editor in chief of El Amaneser ("The Dawn,") , a 32-page monthly Ladino supplement to Turkey’s weekly Jewish newspaper and the world’s only monthly Judeo-Spanish publication. El Amaneser is a project of the nonprofit she directs, the Sephardic Cultural Research Center, which acts as the hub of Istanbul’s Jewish community and a treasure trove of precious Ladino texts and translations. Included in these archives are recordings of native Ladino speakers preserved by the Center’s Ladino Database Project, and other undertakings such as the most comprehensive recordings and research of Maftirim, a musical tradition unique to the Turkish-Jewish community that emerged through interactions with Muslim Sufi orders in Edirne. Şarhon notes proudly that the center also has a variety of language-learning programs on its website, the only one on the internet with a Ladino language option. Şarhon grew up in a Ladino-speaking family in Istanbul, and her passion for the language intensified when she formed Los Pasharos Sefaradis (The Sephardic Birds), the first ensemble dedicated to researching and performing Sephardic music, in which she sang the old Ladino songs in the authentic style of her grandmothers. She went on to be a champion of Sephardic and Ladino cultural preservation. Read more about her accomplishments here.
“Ke mos biva esta lingua ermoza de muestros abuelos i el Dio ke mos de fuersa i enerjiya para luchar kontra su desaparision,” Karen Gerson Şarhon proclaims in Ladino. “Long live this beautiful language of our ancestors, and may God give us strength and energy to strive against its disappearance.”
A lot of you guys are so scared of admitting that the Biden administration ignored the massive wave of campus civil rights violations against Jews for political reasons that you're now committing to allowing those civil rights violations to continue.
Between "Jews are white oppressors so it's impossible to commit systemic violence against them, only individualized violence" and "by any means necessary" and "when people in the Middle East say 'Jews' they really mean 'Israelis', it's a cultural thing" and "Palestinians don't owe anyone the distinction between Zionists and Jews" and "intersectionality means this is everyone's fight", you get a narrative where it's okay for anyone to hurt any Jew in any way they'd like.
yes this is the point
gentle reminder: your voice and your presence is a comfort to someone; maybe a friend, maybe an animal, maybe to yourself; even if you don't notice.
Herzl: hey check out this novel I wrote about how cool it would be to have a society where Jews and Arabs and Greeks and Armenians all came together in the Levant to live as equals in a thriving multicultural society and revitalize the land after the ravages of the Ottoman Empire!
anti-Zionist: ZIONISM IS A RACIST IDEOLOGY THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT REPLACING INDIGENOUS ARABS WITH JEWS EVEN HERZL ADMITTED IT WAS ABOUT COLONIALISM
Herzl:
“how did you get into writing” girl nobody gets into writing. writing shows up one day at your door and gets into you
