[I made a lot of friends here! Some I met in real life or see on social media outside Tumblr. I would love to tag as many as possible. If I missed anyone, please let me know via im or ask. I included people I have known for some time or met irl but I want to include everyone who wants to be mentioned.]

One friend would include you. I actually spent a week with you and had a lot of fun. The trip to the zoo and playing video games together were my faves. We go to each other Animal Crossing islands too and I love seeing the improvements on yours.

@theamazingchickenman - I visited him twice and he is always fun to hang out with. I had a blast at the arcade with him and my sister, dinner at the rainforest cafe, and the aquarium. We also went to a zoo and witnessed the porb (puffin orb). I always have fun when I see CM-mun! He’s a wonderful friend.

@the-expatriate - I known the Mun as far back as my FF7 rp days. I love seeing updates about her and her cat. My hope os one day, we will meet.

@quantumseraph-blog - It’s been a very long time since I heard from them. But I miss them a lot. We met a few years ago, even went through a haunted house together. I still think about them and that adventure. I hope they are doing well.

@pinklocksoflove - We often talk on Discord. I would love to talk more but things have been a bit hectic on my end. However, I appreciate the pictures of their muses and cats that they send. I think Karine is adorable too.

@sunflower-dancing - We sometimes talk but I consider the mun as a lovely friend. I like their portrayal of Saphir and their OC’s are wonderful!

@skullboysfinale - Another great multi-muse rp blog! The mun is someone I enjoy talking and plotting with and look forward to their updates on their muses!

@makoheadrush - one of my first rp partners here. She inspired me to try fanfic writing which I still do from time to time. I see her on other social media platforms and I love seeing updates about her trips, pets, and cooking.

@lickmyemr - Another friend who I met in FF7 rp. I miss her but I still see her on other platforms more and I’m glad she is doing well.

@tredispade - I known the mun for a few years now since I used to rp only FF7. I moved on to expand to other rpcs focusing on horror rp but I am always open to writing with them and catching up when give the chance.

@shutupreno - Known them for years. We used to send each other stuff from time to time. I still have their post cards and the French coin they got in their trip to Europe. I pinned the cards to my board in my room along with the cards from friends and family and tickets, one of my omamoris, and stuff from my travels. I keep the coin at my workstation. I think of it as a good luck charm. It’s special to me because they thought of me by sending it.

@mybikeasmypride - It’s been a long time since I heard from them, but I miss them. They’ve been a good friend. We got pretty close and talked on Skype several years ago. I still have the woodblock burning that’s a picture of Reno and the scarf they made. Sometimes, I wear it when it’s cold out.

@myfreespirit23 - I write and talk with them on and off Tumblr. I love seeing their muses like Joe and the story we created for them. I hope to talk with the mun more soon and write with them more!

@beloved-death - I’m grateful for Val! They have a great multi-muse blog with Mason being my favorite. I enjoy talking with Val, too. I think we followed each other for several years now but it was around last year when we got closer, which I am happy for!

@whispers-in-daydreams - I met her through two mutual friends, Rene and Blair. I’m glad I crossed paths with her because she is an amazing writer and friend. We share picture of our cats and updates while also writing threads and reply to ic asks. She is lovely and so are her muses!

@s-talking - Blair is someone I look up to as a writer, artist, and friend. He’s a dear friend of mine and I love his muses like Envy. I write more horror and dark romance because he and Rene are big inspirations. I always love seeing his ferrets and we share a love for animals. I always wish the best for him and I hope we will be friend for a long time.

@spectralhunter - Rene is a great person! I love his muses and I’m always happy to see him on my dash. His muses are becoming stronger characters and I love his ideas like with Takumi and his pet rat, Hunter. I’m working on fanart for Hunter (and Mrs. Saebom) and plan to finish those soon.

All in all, I always look forward to seeing him when I get the chance.

FFXIV thoughts

Ya know, it’s funny the canon lore bits they throw at you about the Warrior of Light. For instance, canonically he has two mental health diagnoses. DID [At least if you have done the Dark Knight quests it is quite canon] and PTSD. I also have my suspicions they’re on the autism spectrum. Silent unless spoken to, fierce temper, sarcasm until Hell won’t have it any more when the situation calls for it, socially awkward, and *blunt as all fuck*. Also, socially awkward despite being a skilled diplomat when needed and charming lol.  I just am fascinated with the things you can draw from what you’re given.

Sweet generalization.

It’s not about whether a character is trans or gay. Gay characters make sense. People have been gay for millennia. Trans however. Not the case. In a high fantasy setting, how in the balls are they going to perform surgery where they change the sex of the character??? It makes no sense at all. They’d have to explain it. And remember, this is high fantasy, Game of Thrones is also in that category. This is a time where they would reach into your body with an object strikingly similar to a salad tossing spoon to yank out a small piece of arrowhead. Pretty sure they hadn’t figured out a surgery as complex as a sex change…

The people complaining that there aren’t enough gay/trans people in stuff like this are just as bad if not moreso than the people who complain about gay/trans people being in stuff like this.

Create your own fantasy world filled with nothing but gay/trans people. Make it so that being heterosexual is the minority. All the power to you. Good luck trying to create it.

You don’t have to have surgery to be transgender. Lots of transgender people don’t. Transgender people, people who identify with the gender not corresponding with their birth sex, have existed before the surgery. And the existence of and recognition of a third sex or dual sex existed in pre-modern times in lots of places are the world. So, for one, your “how in the balls are they going to perform surgery“ question doesn’t actually matter. They don’t need to in order for transgender people to exist. But if they did want to include transgender people who undergo physical changes to reflect their gender/sexual identity, in a HIGH FANTASY world, there’s actually a really easy answer to that:

1) DON’T use your search bar to find and open the Run app

2) DON’T type in services.msc

3) DON’T find Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Services and right-click to get a dropdown menu, and don’t select ‘properties’

4) if you happen to click properties, DON’T use the startup type dropdown to locate the option to disable the program. be sure you DON’T click apply to finalize that change. 

5) DO NOT do the same thing in order to also disable Adobe Genuine Software Monitor 

if you do all of these things, this WILL disable adobe’s ability to monitor the software, and you will be forced to continue using the same older software that you already paid for instead of having to sign up for a newer, shittier version and pay more for it. so if you have lots of cash to spare and are cool with putting it the pockets of racketeering capitalists, definitely don’t do any of these things. 

however, you SHOULD reblog this to spread the word, as we certainly want to make sure lots of people know what NOT to do :)

The shy small man stepped out into the light of the only home he was likely to know now. The little Runemaster was not accustomed to this sense of dread and fear. He was too young - now - to be cowed, though. That fighting spirit was there, and he’d make this work. “Home…?” It was a park, or seemed to be one. It was after all, really quite spacious and beautiful. He glanced back, and the tremendous spacecraft form of the vehicle they had all just been on, seemed to flicker if only for a moment, and change into a humble blue phonebox. Reichenbach frowned. What was this, then? The Doctor had saved these tattered and torn refugees from across the Universes - plural - and brought them here, to this place that he recognized as either another Earth or one very like it. There were, after all, so many Universes. Most of these people certainly did not speak the same language, and some did not even have one at all. But through his talented use of signing and rune symbols, he had cobbled out a rough way for them to all communicate. He was after all, yet another Jim Moriarty. Genius.

Well, this was pretty. And so what? It wasn’t going to work. “We’ve got attention.” News crews that looked human- and very much like Gaia back home, in fact - were already racing to get to them all first. 

Rude glanced back and his eyes widened: the TARDIS appeared now as a titanic spacecraft, it likely looked to these people for all the world like some sort of massive invasion. But surely when they got closer and saw this ragtag group they’d understand - they’d have to realize – and there – shit! That was an army – had to be -and the sound of choppers - he knew that sound. “Seems close to Gaia. I hope.” Truth be told, Rude was nervous. Reno’s hand had delicately clawed its way into his, and he very gently - and carefully - pushed it off and away.  “Not here. Not now.”, he whispered. God, it was too dangerous for that! Who knew how they might react. Same sex - anything - might get them executed or worse right on the spot. “Could be a crime.”

He and Rude had watched the destruction of their world through the porthole window of the TTC just before it had entered the Vortex,  The loss had hurt, yes, but at least he and Rude were human enough to *pass* on this new world, and that was a relief in and of itself.  The news crews sticking the mics in his face engendered a feeling between wanting to cringe and wanting to nail one of them in the face, especially considering he couldn’t understand what the Hell any of them were saying. Not that they could understand when he told them to back the fuck off either, though he was sure the expression on his face spoke volumes. It was one that very clearly said *back off*.  “Christ on a cracker, haven’t any of these fucking people heard of *personal space*? I don’t understand what the fuck they’re asking me. Never had to deal with this bullshit back home.” The annoyance was obvious enough, even as another man, a big black man with short curly dark hair that held himself much in the way Tseng once had, approached with a truck and whatever he had said to the reporters made them leave in a disappointed huff. 

“That must be the guy in charge.”

“All right, all of you, back off.” General Farnsworth had stepped up the crowd of newcomers. “There will be time for interviews later, Prime Minister Holmes wants to see them.” the reporters groaned and backed off as they were ordered away and he turned toward the group. “Do any of you speak English so you can speak for the group?” he asked, sharp dark eye peering over at each one in turn as he did. 

He had not been able to understand the young man who had spoken just then, but he could certainly read the annoyance in the redhead’s *tone* and the last thing he wanted was to deal with a fight when the group had just now landed on British soil. It didn’t take much guessing to know it was about the microphone being shoved under his nose when he didn’t know what the clueless woman who had done so was saying. 

“Step forward, anyone who knows English well enough to translate for me so I can communicate with  these folk.”

“It is the closest to a home that we are going to get.” Sherlock smiled down at his lover. He watched the reporters mob the group and the military man that had come on the scene disperse them, his back straightening as Farnsworth spoke. “Reich and I do.” he spoke up as he stood to his full height. “Reich is a linguist and is able to communicate with the remainder of the group, he taught all of them sign language and he can translate for them.” 

At the mention of Mycroft he exchanged a glance with Reich. His brother existed here too, it seemed, and had managed to rise quite high in the positions of power here in Britain. Not that Sherlock was particularly surprised, Mycroft was a very good leader,  even if he had all of the social skills of a beached *trout*. “I should like to speak with my brother myself.” Sherlock said idly. 

He did not yet realize that he *also* existed here and how much conflict that could cause later on.

“I may be able to help, yes.” Reich felt the old familiar clannish nervousness begin to kick in, and he was already starting to balk.

Everyone was going to want him to help with this and by all rights he needed to do just that. “I’m called Reichenbach or Reich but my real name is James Moriarty.”  He wondered what reaction that was going to get from them all. 

Sherlock seemed to believe there was a Mycroft here, apparently. Reich wondered what he was like, if he was, was he strong and with all the resolve of an ancient glacier? Yet why would Sherlock presume this, back home in their London there were at least a couple hundred Holmes merely in London Proper. “You want to speak to Mycroft? You’re reaching that this is, in fact, a Mycroft Holmes who is Prime Minister? Sherlock, I really think that’s a bit of a presumption. I highly doubt you happen to be related to this PM Holmes. Why, this could even be *you*!” Reich turned back around to look for Remial, worried for him. Oh, he looked so very out of place, he stood out so drastically, so dangerously! Would they treat the ones who stood out differently? Or even harm them?

“Really relieved that sumbitch showed up, but I wish I had even the slightest what the hell he’s saying. Reich and Sherlock are chatting enjoyably and no one is signing, so I have no freaking idea. Look, we seem to look just like the natives here. So that’s good, maybe we can pretend we do understand, at least so we aren’t singled out. Being singled out is probably the worst thing that could happen to us.” There was a lot going on, some of it Rude could simply visually understand, and the rest, was lost in the differing languages being used. There were, after all, a lot of people here, standing and milling around, and some attempting to just leave the scene - which got them very sternly blocked from the soldiers that now seemed to fill the area up completely. Shit. “They don’t know who or what we really are. You know what we need? We need the fucking Doctor!! Where the hell is he, to come explain all this!!” Rude considered heading back into the craft and was shocked when the entire thing very suddenly sank down into the size and shape of the old blue phonebox - leaving its appearance as a mighty spacecraft far behind. Likely as not, so these assholes would realize that it was the Doctor. “Ok Doctor. Any time now.” No pun intended.

“Now, sir.” he looked straight at the General “I am fairly sure you know who *I* am, and I think I do owe you some explaining. I brought these people here because they had nowhere else to go. They are no threat to you, or to  your people, though I am sure that those in charge would wish to be certain of that first, and I can understand that. Quarantines to be certain they aren’t carrying exotic microbes, that sort of thing. But things will go so much more smoothly if these sorts of things are explained *now* while I can still extend the translation field so that you can understand one another.”

It is *rude*.” He did give her a reassuring smile that said he wouldn’t harm her once she withdrew her hands though, the miqo’te was far from being a mean person, he just did not want to be touched without his consent, something that was perfectly understandable. “Sir.” he directed that toward Farnsworth. “I think all of us understand that the people here are either scared or worried about us all suddenly just landing here, but I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we’re not going to simply attack someone if we are not attacked first. None of the ones I have met are the sort.”

I miss him. Well, I miss us. We could have had it all. Why do I even have these thoughts now? It’s too late, so very late. The hour is late, Mr Oakdown, yes, is it then? Oh I didn’t realize ..shut up! Shut it. Just .. mm. I miss us. I miss Gallifrey, when I didn’t hate it. I loved him, when I didn’t hate him. Thete, you have gone through some changes of late, my dear. I was supposed to be a Magister, a good paying position, respectable, and the looks and drawls from the plebes in the Councils and Panels would have meant nothing, eventually, I guess, well .. we knew that they knew, but we did not care. We did not understand we had to care. Not till the rebellion suddenly detonated and we lost everything we ever dared to fantasize of having, in one horrific week. You ran, I ran. Well, we had to, didn’t we. So many mistakes. I know you never stopped caring. The problem is that I have. I - well I want to stop. The lady Me was the weakest of us, drooling and smart mouthing her way across the aching tendrils of your sore hearts. I’m not pretty anymore, like Harry. I’m not a monster, like I became.
