The two minute hate
Momentarily he caught O'Brien's eye. O'Brien had stood up. He had taken off his spectacles and was in the act of resettling them on his nose with his characteristic gesture. But there was a fraction of a second when their eyes met, and for as long as it took to happen Winston knew — yes, he knew! — that O'Brien was thinking the same thing as himself. An unmistakable message had passed. It was as though their two minds had opened and the thoughts were flowing from one into the other through their eyes. ‘I am with you,’ O'Brien seemed to be saying to him. ‘I know precisely what you are feeling. I know all about your contempt, your hatred, your disgust. But don't worry, I am on your side!’ And then the flash of intelligence was gone, and O'Brien's face was as inscrutable as everybody else's.

Mary & Kitty
when supper was over, singing was talked of, and she had the mortification of seeing Mary, after very little entreaty, preparing to oblige the company. By many significant looks and silent entreaties, did she endeavour to prevent such a proof of complaisance, but in vain; Mary would not understand them; such an opportunity of exhibiting was delightful to her, and she began her song.
Lizzy & Charlotte (& Darcy)
“What does Mr. Darcy mean,” said she to Charlotte, “by listening to my conversation with Colonel Forster?”
“That is a question which Mr. Darcy only can answer.”
“But if he does it any more I shall certainly let him know that I see what he is about. He has a very satirical eye, and if I do not begin by being impertinent myself, I shall soon grow afraid of him.”
Lizzy & Jane
With a stronger voice she soon added, “I have this comfort immediately, that it has not been more than an error of fancy on my side, and that it has done no harm to anyone but myself.”
“My dear Jane!” exclaimed Elizabeth, “you are too good. Your sweetness and disinterestedness are really angelic; I do not know what to say to you. I feel as if I had never done you justice, or loved you as you deserve.”
"Miss Eliza Bennet, let me persuade you to follow my example, and take a turn about the room. I assure you it is very refreshing after sitting so long in one attitude."
Elizabeth was surprised, but agreed to it immediately. Miss Bingley succeeded no less in the real object of her civility; Mr. Darcy looked up. He was as much awake to the novelty of attention in that quarter as Elizabeth herself could be, and unconsciously closed his book.
“Are you sure you know how to do this, Erik?”
“Of—of course.”
Susan’s face-off with Mr. Teatime at the end of Hogfather! Rest assured that Death is nearby, both in the story and the drawings XDD I made Susan’s eye shine a bit in the shadows, which can be interpreted as the side that Death’s standing by (hence the shadows on that side as well), or she could be channeling her own Death energy loll

Close your eyes, for your eyes will only tell the truth
And the truth isn’t what you want to see
No kind word from anyone
To you, 2000 years ago
If you think about it Erik is just a really dramatic theatre kid
I can’t watch the 2004 movie without thinking how this probably went down
Ramin Karimloo: hey I really like phantom of the opera do you think I could be in the movie? I’ve played Raoul and I’m probably ready to tackle the phantom
ALW: I have an even better role
Ramin: please can I have more
ALW: fine
*sigh* Back on my Phantom of the Opera bullshit.
I love and hate him, just a pathetic corpse man.

For the Month of Love 2019 challenge, week 4 (Feb 18-22), for the prompt “Blindness”.
I was several weeks late posting this back in February, and while I liked the pose, I didn’t love how the painting turned out. I had a bit of extra time the other day so I re-coloured it in photoshop, which solved some of the problems.
This image shows climactic scene from the classic novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. I haven’t read it since I was a kid, but here’s the basic plot as I remember it: Jane Eyre, a poor and not particularly pretty young woman, goes to work for the wealthy Mr Rochester as a governess. They eventually fall in love, even though he’s moody, borderline abusive and at least twice her age. (He’s completely besotted with her, so perhaps that’s the appeal). Mr. Rochester proposes marriage, but on the day of the wedding we find out that he is *already* married to a savage lunatic that he keeps LOCKED IN THE ATTIC. Jane leaves (understandably). About a year later, someone else proposes to her but she decides to go see what happened to Mr. Rochester before she makes up her mind. It turns out his insane wife set fire to the house, and he managed to save the household staff (but not his wife; I think she jumped off the balcony) but the house burned down and he is left blinded and maimed. Jane forgives him, they get married, and he gets the sight back in one eye, conveniently in time to see his newborn son.
"Is it Jane? What is it? This is her shape—this is her size—”
"And this her voice,” I added. “She is all here: her heart, too. God bless you, sir! I am glad to be so near you again.”
“Jane Eyre!—Jane Eyre,” was all he said.
School has started :/
I realized too late that his left leg should be missing instead of his right.)
