I like escaping as much as the next person, and I need it in my life, but also in order to feel like I’m living a life of meaning, I need to be involved in things that are life-giving. And that’s why I’m so excited about the uprisings that are happening around the country that are economic rights–related, or gay rights–related, or transgender rights–related, or feminist-related — anything that’s bridging the gap between people and calling for a more decent system, and a more decent way of perceiving each other. I’m really excited about that.

Universal has begun transitioning the Jurassic Park attractions at their theme parks to the Jurassic World brand, reports Alicia Stella from Blogosaurus. Jurassic World and Isla Nublar banners and signage, similar to those seen in this summer’s hottest movie, hang throughout the Jurassic Park area of Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure. New Jurassic World merch is available in the shops, including new exclusive items only available at the park.

Upcoming new Jurassic-themed rides are a hot issue of speculation for the Universal parks: it’s been rumored they are very interested in creating a Gyrosphere ride based on Jurassic World. Other in-movie attractions, such as the Egg Spinner, Gondola Lift, and Bamboo Forest, are hinted at on new signage in the park but do not exist yet.

Universal Studios Japan is currently constructing a large new Jurassic Park/World attraction, which is believed to be a Pteranodon Aviary ride, due to open next year.

Exactly! Everyone I know in the US keeps telling me haha, it’s so ridiculous, he’ll never get elected. From a country that has Harper in office and elected Rob Ford as a mayor… It’s not so funny. It could actually happen. This overcooked potato has a shot at running your country. That’s some scary, scary stuff.
