28 days left
Its time to say goodbye to you LA.
I’ve loved you and hated you. You were the worst and best year. My heart breaks at the thought of leaving my little house in the cul-de-sac, but my spirit yearns for adventure.
Today was the first sunday in a long time to be an actual lazy Sunday. Its like taking that first breath in after so much anguish and pain. Relief is brief though. Where will I be in 28 days? I do not know. Once again my life is uprooting and starting over. I took a picture a year ago of the three of us sitting in lawn chairs in the living room. I saved that picture with the expectation that I would bring it out a year later and we could laugh at how eager and shiny we were then. But now that picture will be deleted. Now we are simply broken and only two.
LA has seduced me. I do not want to leave, but it has taken all my money and sleep. I need to come back someday and let it capture me then. For now, life has dragged us down into the dumps and its time to say Uncle and build again.
