Though the Nights of the Passion Lanterns were devoted to gods separated from the pantheon Cetrion resided within, she'd always found a particular beauty in the celebration. A remembrance of the bond the two had formed and consummated, enacted by mortals through formation and consummation of their own similar bonds, whether amorous or simply to enjoy the company of another. Many had believed the ways of virtue to be averse to free sexual expression- an assumption she could never quite understand. What could be so sinful about finding mutual pleasure through joining with another consenting adult? It was simply part of enjoying the gift that was life.

Of course, so long as she was here, Cetrion wasn't sure she would engage in such activities. There was only one within millennia with whom she had formed a bond of physical intimacy, and she hadn't seen him in some time- finding him here would be quite welcome, but she wasn't going to imagine it with any certainty. Even so, there were other ways to enjoy herself here. She had changed her attire to a golden two-piece swimsuit, with a long flowing skirt draped around the bottom, and was walking along the shore by herself. Her eyes were shut, allowing herself to take in the sounds and smells of the coastline with less distraction.

Then she felt someone approaching. Her eyes remained shut, but a faint smile crossed her lips. Peace could exist even within the company of another, and she was happy to share this with somebody else...
