Urban Outfitters is INCREDIBLY easy to steal from
saw this on the shoplifting subreddit, thought you guys would like to see this as well!
Just a PSA from a former employee: Go to town at Urban Outfitters. They do not have cameras throughout the store. The only camera at UO is at the store entrance, and it is not actively monitored (only used as reference later on should an incident occur). There’s no LP in store, though some high volume stores will post a uniformed guard at front. They have a no chase policy for their employees, so even if you’re stopped at the door, they can not pursue you if you simply leave. But possibly the most important thing is their fitting room policy - you can bring as many articles of clothing into the fitting rooms with you as you want - 10, 20, even more. Though they are supposed to count your items before you enter and after you leave, bringing a large number of items in with you makes it extremely difficult to keep track of that number, especially on a busy day. Some employees are also a lot less zealous about counting than others. Some will ask you for the number without actually counting themselves, and some won’t even care about the number at all - YMMV on that. You are only allowed to bring clothing into the fitting room, so if you’re trying to bring jewelry, accessories, underwear, gadgets or whatever into the room with you, make sure they’re concealed first. I suggest casing the fitting room on a busy day to see how they’re handling it. As for security tags, all UO stores use the same smooth black clamshell magnetic tags which are easily removed by a strong magnet. They typically only tag items $20 and over, but YMMV on that as well. Some stores have special tags for sunglasses which can also be removed with a magnet. They also carry a number of expensive electronic items, such as cameras, which are spider wrapped. If you notice that the fitting room people aren’t checking very thoroughly, you can hide one of these items under a pile of clothing, take it into the fitting room, and work off the spider wrap. Note that they may also soft tag some items such as sock or underwear which don’t have hard tags, so always check the packaging for those (soft tags will always be in a place that you can find them, as they are only added to items after they arrive at the store). And as for the employees themselves, most of them are people under 30 only hired to fit a certain aesthetic. They don’t receive LP training and are told to give exceptional customer service to suspected shoplifters, so if anyone is paying extra attention to you, you might have given yourself away. The code terms used on radio for shoplifters is Mr. and Mrs. Nick, so if you hear that they definitely know. For the most part they are understaffed. If you can conceal something out of the line of sight of an employee, you’re golden, since again - no cameras.

You can try to desnake in the dressing room or a blind spot but you know they aggressive and will follow you around and wrap around your leg and shit and LP will notice. gOoD Luck lifters!!!! 👜🐍💼🐍🎒🐍👝🐍👛
Dis very serious pls spread
ball pythons actually aren’t aggressive at all, I have two of them :p they get scared literally all the time and curl into a ball, hence ball python.

(Will add more as I think of it)
Just a tip for the vibrator, walgreens and CVS both sell really nice durex bullet vibes. Super tiny and really great c;
Thank you.
I’m not into vibrators but DONT STEAL THEM FROM SPENCERS
reblogging because i need the list available haha. most of the stuff you can get from a walk out ikea visit btw
CONT. • There are no towers at the bathroom • the only things that are in lockboxes are razors and contraceptives • Spiders are used for pleasure objects like vibrators • After 6 pm there is usually only one manager in the store and typically two other employees but they are usually busy so they aren't paying attention to anyone (3/3)
Bless you, anon ❤️❤️
CONT. • The best time to go is either early in the morning (around 8-8:30) or late (after 7pm) • if it's a 24-hr walgreens go overnight or early in the morning • Employees do not get in trouble for stolen items. I once watched a dude walk out with a handbasket FULL of vitamins. I had a carton of newports stolen from my hand. Haven't ever gotten in trouble • managers are not actively watching for lifters. They only do something if you act sus. • the best place to conceal is prob bathroom (2/?)
Guys this is amazing 💗💗💗
Lifting Attire
i’ve seen a post going around about what to wear in the summer while you’re lifting, but not one about fall/winter, so i decided to make one!!
COAT/JACKET
pea coat - not too big to be suspicious, but when it’s getting pretty chilly in like late October/November you can wear it and take it off as needed. good to hide anything to de-tag in a dressing room or walk out with (MAKE SURE THERE’S NO TAGS!!!)
sweatshit - wearing a sweatshirt will look less sus in the cold months. just make sure you still look polished if you’re going to a higher end store. if you live in a college town, get one with the football team’s emblem on it. those should be easy to find, you might even be able to lift one!
club jacket - i love these because they’re warm and thick, so they’re good at hiding clothes in.
denim jacket - try to find one with inside pockets if you can.
puffer jacket - use in the winter. same as the pea coat, but this is better because you can make it really poofy with what you lift and people won’t think twice.
TOPS
a bunchy sweater with loose sleeves - this comes in handy for concealing small items. slip them up your sleeve and then discreetely place them in your bag pretending you’re looking for your phone/lotion/chapstick (the latter two are important to have in winter months!!)
a thick flannel - good for putting small items in the pockets
carigan - again good for concealing small items, and you can wear a t-shit/tank top underneath.
cami - for underneath your sweater/flannel/cardigan. ones with built in bras are extremely helpful for hiding small/flattish items.
BOTTOMS
jeans - always good, try to keep them looking polished.
leggins - if you wear a big sweater, you can tuck things into the waistband. just make sure they don’t slip down!
skirt - i love those denim button-front a-line skirts that are in right now because you can shove things in your tights and it doesn’t show. if you wear a skirt, wear tights, because the waistband is always pretty snug and you can fit things in them.
SHOES
tall boots - wrap the scarves/t-shirts you’re lifting around your calves and cover them with your boots.
short boots - drop little items in them. doc martens are good for this, because they look very chic when you keep them tied loose.
ACCESSORIES
scarves - scarves are a GODSEND. you can put on necklaces and cover them with your scarf so they aren’t seen. you can also take your scarf off and sort of wrap it around an item you’re concealing before you stuff it in your purse. don’t do that too many times in one store, though, or they’ll start thinking.
gloves - good for getting really small items like jewelry. after you conceal, put them in your gloves so they don’t rattle around in your bag.
coffee cup - get a coffee cup (NOT see-through) and drink all your coffee while you’re walking around the store. once you do that, go to a bathroom and rinse it out so there’s not any coffee left. place some napkins in the bottom and then walk around with it. put small things like makeup and jewelry in there. the napkins are so they don’t get gross and you can’t hear them rattling around. you could also bring a reusable coffee cup from home/lift one on your way to the store!
hats - same as scarves, put things in it before you tuck it into your bag.
TIPS
same as always - don’t get greedy, don’t get dumb, if it feels wrong it probably is so leave
always carry some personal care items like lotion and chapstick. not only will it be an excuse to “dig around” in your bag (drop items in), but also who wants chapped lips and dry hands? nobody!!!
the coffee cup method is super great in fall, because you wouldn’t catch anyone in their right mind without a warm beverage!
i hope this helped! you can always message me if you have any questions :^)
p.s. - these tips work for ME at MY stores, which will most likely be different from yours - you assume all responsibility if you get caught using these tips.
Things to lift before school starts
-toothpaste -pore strips -post it notes -several naked palletes to boost (scholl fees are stupid) -lip balms -face masks -black socks -kit kats -a good hair brush -hair ties -makeup wipes -cute travel cup -oil blotting sheets -black,blue,purple nail polish -some fancy base/top coat for nails -gel shoe soles -more fake lashes -wax strips -mechanical pencils -cute washi tape -mod podge -face primer -vs pink yoga thongs -topshop joni jeans -hair detangling spray -heat protecting spray
Dry shampoo Makeup setting spray
pressed power compact to touch up makeup throughout the day
Headphones
-moleskine notebooks for your agenda and note-taking -papermate colour flair pens -candles to calm you while you study (lavender helps you relax!!) -tights so when winter rolls around you can keep wearing all those cute dresses and skirts you lifted in the summer -cozy sweaters and sweats for study sessions -a nice to-go tea mug to take to school and keep your drinks hot! -school bag essentials: sanitizer, mini lotion, mini body spray, band aids, disinfectant, small comb, elastics, bobby pins, gum, snacks, lip balm, tide to go stick etc… Keep them all together in a little makeup bag or pencil case and you’ll be everyone’s best friend for always having the things they need!! -a new school bag to put all your things in! Try a purse if you usually have a backpack to look extra classy -boot socks for fall -dark, fall-colour lipstick -big scarves so you can be extra comfy in class, and gloves and hats for when snow comes! -a phone case to protect yours when you’re in school -cute magnetic things to put in your locker if you’re into that -white girl staples: flannels and leggings -a good cuticle cream or oil to protect your nails and hands when it gets cold out -sunglasses cause the reflection of the sunlight off snow can be worse than it is in the summer
black girl staples: some nice ass conditioner and lighter foundation for when dat tan fades

tips for lush
this is my process for how i lift from lush! it works for me and hopefully it works for you!
1) before i walk in the store i’ll look for cameras very quickly (although i don’t think lush is known to have cameras) and i’ll take note of how many SAs i see! this just helps me get a feel for the store and makes me feel more comfortable and prepared.
2) i’ll enter the store and walk over to look at some products and an SA usually is by my side pretty quickly. they’ll greet me and i’ll greet them back and immediately ask a question about a product. this will show you’re curious and interested in the products and is helpful in building a rapport with an SA. if you don’t know much about lush products you can either ask all you want to know about the store or do research on the products online beforehand to have a better grasp of what questions to ask about certain products.
3) usually the SA will put a whole bunch of shit on my arm and ask me to smell it or whatever so during that process remember to seem completely invested in the products and all the info they’re giving you!
4) when i feel a lull in the conversation/interaction between the SA and i, i’ll say something along the lines of “thank you! i think i’ll just look around for now.” and they leave me alone to browse.
5) then i will go around smelling things and finding things i like and would like to lift. while i browse SAs usually don’t bother me unless the store is practically empty and i’m one of the only “customers”. if an SA does come over and ask how i’m doing, i’ll ask some questions about whatever i’m looking at and then they’ll answer and maybe show me similar products or whatever.
6) if they don’t leave me alone after that i’ll ask them for a sample of a certain product! take advantage of free samples! the SAs will always say yes and to get you a sample they go behind the desk so you’re SA-free for the time being!
7) when i find a product i want i’ll move it to a spot that i can easily conceal. it doesn’t look odd because all the different products are so close to each other anyway. then i’ll just keep finding products i like and putting it in this certain spot!
8) if the SAs are still super attentive because of the lack of other customers in the store, i’ll either ask them to get me two samples of two things (preparing two samples will take longer than preparing one, thus giving you more SA-free time!) and conceal while they’re doing that or i’ll wait for more customers to enter the store and conceal while the SA is helping other customers.
9) then i leave with a “thanks so much!” and a smile!
and that’s it! this process is specific to lush locations that are less busy so i’d definitely modify this process for a more busy location. the more busy locations are a lot easier for me because the SAs are usually not too attentive. i hope you all find this post helpful! good luck and stay safe!!!!
ooh a lush post
Look at this bag line I found! I found them in a UW bookstore. They’re made by flight attendants who wanted better bags, they have the perfect amount of pockets and slots, and ALL of them are RFIDs blockers! I saw a camera while I was looking, so I didn’t grab one this time. If a guy doesn’t buy me one I totally will next time!
So I haven’t had a chance to go back to that store yet, but they DO have a line of bags specifically built with rfid blocking liners! http://www.baggallini.com/travel/rfid/
I’ll keep you guys upd8ed as I go!
AHHH I NEED THIS!
