I wasn't sure how to explain it in words, so I made a little visual guide for you.

① Imagine a 3D western-style toilet seat. (Sorry, Caine! lol)

② Add some thickness toward the back teeth. The small diagram on the left shows what the dentures look like from directly above.

③ Give the silhouette some definition by rounding the corners and adding subtle curves. (Actually, adding a jagged texture to the molars makes it look more realistic, but I usually skip that part! 😅)

④ Finally, pop the eyeballs inside.

Bonus: On the right side, I added my go-to "lazy" way to draw Caine! 😂 Explaining things is hard, but I hope this helps you even a little bit!

And one more bonus!: Here’s my personal tip for creating expressions.

I expand his range of emotions by combining the movement of the gums with the shape of the eyeballs and the size of the pupils.

Wow wow thank you for the kind words on my previous tadc post 🫶 especially to the people who enjoy how I draw caine, so here is another doodle dump for you :)

I also didn't elaborate in my last post, but i have this idea where Pomni is homesick and Caine--seeing an opportunity to maybe be able to make one of the humans like him--recreates places according to Pomni's memories of them to try and make her happy (and by extension, enjoy him and his creations) but it slowly becomes less self-motivated when she begins teaching him about the human world and he eventually becomes more fascinated by it, and starts to find that ordinary life might be something special and worth enjoying after all. So that's what the last doodle (and the ones on the previous sketch dump) are about lol

Their dynamic is so interesting to me. What do you mean they scold this godlike entity like he’s their younger brother or something with their hands on their hips and everything and he both lets them do that AND reacts accordingly

Caine's insecurity ultimately comes from the fact that he feels inferior. He was the original and he was discarded and now that he has taken over the new system, he should be better right? Better than this, better than what they treat him, a better creator, a better everything.

But they hate him. They hate what he makes. He is bad at what he does, and he knows it, and he cannot accept it, and people keep fucking dying and so he keeps making new adventures like he was fucking designed to, thats what they wanted him to do, right?? Create???? So he creates and creates and creates and creates and CREATES and all of this to be told YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

You were never good enough.

You will never be good enough.

They all hate you.

They hate what you do.

They hate what you are.

Caine (allegedly) dies KNOWING that he is hated.

And that he is not enough.

Bubble acting as Caine's negative thoughts towards himself, which ultimately are the TRUTH however harsh, and therefore Bubble acting as the voice of REASON is so interesting to me.

Bubble thusfar has been played mostly as a joke. He has been the funny little side character.

But looking back, Caine has ALWAYS kind of hated Bubble. Shoving him aside, trhing to get along with him sometimes sure, but he always loses his temper and dismisses him.

Caine being unable to dismiss the critical truths because they are so overpowering and constant that they overwhelm him because the PROGRAM HE TOOK OVER is breaking through to tell him YOU DID WRONG is so incredible both thematically and narritavely and I think Ill be thinking about Bubble for a really long time actually and I dont even know if any of this actually makes sense outside of my own head.

That scene of them in the office is my new favorite scene of the series and its not even close, it fucked me up.

ALSO, ALSO, THE FACT THAT BUBBLE ISNT REALLY PRESENT THROUGHOUT THE EPISODE ASIDE FROM THAT ONE PART AT THE BEGINNING IS SO FUCKING GOOD BECAUSE IT SHOWS JUST HOW DESPERATE CAINE IS TO IGNORE THESE HARD TRUTHS, AND YET IN THE BACKGROUND YOU CAN STILL SEE HIM, MAYBE NOT HIM HIM, BUT THERE ARE BUBBLES. FACELESS AND WITHOUT NAME, BUT A REMINDER, CAINE CANNOT GET IT OUT OF HIS HEAD, AND HE IS REMINDED EVERY TIME HE LOOKS AT THE CIRCUS

Looking at the files from the computer closer, its likely that Bubble isnt actually the second improved program, HOWEVER, I still think its even more interesting that if Bubble is a creation OF Caine's that Bubble STILL acts the way he does.

In my head that actually makes it MORE likely that Bubble is acting on some of Caine's own thoughts, because that means Bubble is a part of him, and this furthers my idea that Caine actually really fucking hates himself and thinks very lowly of himself because if Bubble is an extension of him, his hatred towards him is very telling.
