“If only we could have planned something so grand. But not even I can manipulate a city on such a scale.” It didn’t surprise him that Xigbar had returned. Not that it could have, but the return of his second ranked member was a possibility expected from the start.
The two nobodies, were of course discussing the events of battle and chaos that littered the streets. It seemed that the three Organization members had each followed a similar mindset, to stay off the streets and remain upon higher ground. Simply observing such chaos, with no desire to set foot in it. Where would the reward be in taking such a risk?
“We have a choice here, Xigbar. This city believes us to be the victims, and the keyblade warriors to be the villains that slaughtered we innocents. I have done as much as I can to manipulate the tale, painting us in the more positive view. We can either remain out of the way, and avoid combat to save ourselves. Or we can manipulate the situation further…gain allies of all varieties, by aiding in the battles beneath us.” His golden eyes surveyed the battle beneath them, silently considering their options. They could easily stay out of danger, especially Demyx, given his distaste of actual combat. But if they were to survive in the long run, it would make more sense to solidify their position in as many hearts as possible. “….I am at a loss, however. Even if we gain the aid of those here, we are still held within this city like rats in a cage. There is no true motivation to either option, and so long without them, I cannot consider either option to have any sort of desire on an emotional level.
However…I must admit, it is rather satisfying to see so much hatred. It truly is the driving force behind all actions, is it not?”
Ah yes, the grand plan. Xemnas, and several others of the Organization, were ones that needed that to keep going weren’t they? There was no point in the now, only the future mattered. That was what he was here for. While Xemnas saw into the future, it was Xigbar’s place to see the now. Trapped? As if! They may be bound for a time, but that was something Nobodies had plenty of. There would be a way out eventually, he was certain. And even if there wouldn’t be, there was plenty to do here.
“City’s started to get to you without me around hasn’t it old man? You’re talkin more grandiose than ever.” he said, pulling his hand out to gesture at the scene before them.
“This place is drowning in negativity. You may not have started it, but as if we’re gonna leave it be!”
Xigbar was less of a planner and more of a schemer. Small difference really, but it was there. Plans had honor. Schemes on the other hand, were fun. Xemnas said it himself, this situation shined light on them, and darkness on the heroes that opposed them. Ironic, in a sense. To not take advantage of that? You’d have to be mad as a hatter.
“You’re better at long run thinking than I am, so come on. You can’t believe we’ll be here forever. The plan is bigger, but think about it. When the floodgates open, and we let lose something like this? How much bigger it would all become. Not to mention we’re still short a few numbers. You’re not gonna tell me you haven’t thought of finding a few more idiots around here to use for that have you? Seems to me there’s plenty more darkness than on the other worlds around here.
And if nothing else, we can just kick that brat Sora around a while. Can’t tell me that doesn’t interest you at least a little.”
