I’ve started needle felting and this is my first craft! It’s a spinetail devil ray, which is currently an endangered species with a declining population trend.
Starting this craft has also inspired me to start a mission…
I want to be able to supplement my income on art, but I also want to help make a difference for animals, wildlife, and pets all over the world.
My idea? Every commission gets a percentage of earnings sent to fundraisers themed around the commission.
Me and you together get to make a difference for animals across the world, and you get a felted copy of them!
If you want to commission me and help my mission you can check out my bio or this link

This is a project I’m currently working on if anyone would like to check it out <3

Radio-Collar ID
Hello, since I've had some new followers, I've decided to make a post as to why I chose to have a radio collar name, along with why I chose the numbers I did (7093).
The common name on my blog is "Dusty", which isn't actually my real name, nor do I consider it one. It's more of an adjective of myself. Rolling in the dirt and mud, trekking through long forested areas and swimming across streams, my coat gets "dusty" from all the explorations.
Radio collaring is the more "human-made" way to contact and track wolves, along with other wild animal populations like orcas and foxes. The tracking number isn't for the animal to know itself, but for others to know, which is a common feeling I internalise alot while on social media. The numbers 7093 were inspired by wolves OR-7, and OR-93, two wolves that inspire me deeply and ones I feel a deep resonating connection with.
₊˚⊹ 𐂯
OR-7, (Pictured left) otherwise known as "Journey" was a male Canis Lupus Occidentalis born in Oregon and was tracked as the first wolf to be west of the Cascade Mountains since 1947, and first wolf in California since 1924. He later had a mate and a litter of pups before dying of old age in 2020.
OR-93 (Pictured right) was a wolf from 2019 who travelled over 1,000 miles (1,610km) across Oregon and California in search of a mate during wolf dispersal. Unfortunately was struck and killed in 2021 while trying to cross the Interstate.
₊˚⊹ 𐂯
Along with looking very similar to myself, both OR-7 and OR-93 have inspired me into creating a radio-collar ID number for myself, along with posts from other radio-collared animals like:
@otherbodied (1806X) @talankii (SN0797) @astrakaninez (1309F)
Anyone can refer to me as Dusty, or 7093/7093M, or even a non-name basis such as wolf, wolfdog, canine, etc. My relationship with names and naming conventions is difficult to describe and harder to understand, having numbers that connect with other wolves and isn't originally human-made brings me great species euphoria.

If you'd like to learn more of radio-collar IDs, I recommend @hxvnsentfangs "Radio Collar IDs: What Are They, Meaning Behind Them, and How to Create Your Own" (Posted July 4th, 2026)
I'm not a leading figure of radio collar IDing within the nonhuman community, nor do I want to be. All I can promote is self-identity and freedom of expression for personal discovery and species euphoria. Please take all methods of this expression with personal nuance and not treat it as a "trend" or "stereotype" of nonhumanity. Thank you.
Fahlo has a wolf!!
Basically, you buy a bracelet, the money goes to that animal/species' conservation, then you get to track the animal via an app on your phone!
Fahlo has bracelets for the following animals: elephant, giraffe, gorilla, lion, penguin, polar bear, turtle, shark, seal, manatee, whale shark, red panda, wolf, whale, rhino, orca, snow leopard, koala, cheetah, tiger, sloth, and dolphin

Please, please, please tag those with these altertypes!! This is something that I think many alterhumans would really like :33
@rawtofueather
The amount of cetacean therians that romanticise captive cetaceans genuinely makes me uncomfortable- like wtf those orcas and dolphins and whales literally go insane, that is the whole reason tilikum and other orcas have killed people
i think i'm a whale ....
or a seal perhaps ...

Hello hi I think the alterhuman community needs to be more radically environmentalist! I think all alterhumans should look into environmentalism and stuff like Solarpunk. It’s something I wish I saw more discussion of in the community. Many [ though not all ] of us claim relation and connection to our Earth and the environment. I DONT know why we as a community are not more radically environmentalist.
I’d unironically be happy to share resources abt this kinda stuff to anyone interested
Wolves: you were incarnated here in human form to save your kind. The earth is dying. The wolves have no place to go. Whether you're reblogging articles about conservation or making donations or recycling or writing poetry... thank you. Everything helps. No effort is too small.

DOG TIER EARS TUTORIAL
Howdy y’all!! Here’s my tutorial for simple dog ears~~ ;u;
What you’ll need:
- Choice fabrics (this works better with thicker fabrics such as fleece, furs, plush & velboa but thin should work just as well, just aim for some that are soft!)
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Pipe cleaners (yes they are godsend in my book aha)
so here are the dimensions! Going from
left to right it reads:
4 inches or 10.5 cm
5 1/8 inches or 13 cm for the thin line
4 1/4 inches or 10.8 cm at the bottom
You can change them up if you prefer to accommodate yourself~
————————————————————————————————-
Step 1: Cut your fabric in the dimensions above make sure to make a Right ear as well since the dimensions above are for a Left ear all you really have to do is reverse the pattern or the piece you’ve already cut!
Make sure to draw the shape on the Wrong side of the fabric!! So later when you glue them, you glue them wrong sides together!!
Step 2: Take 2 or 3 pipe cleaners depending on the thickness of your fabric and its ability to hold itself up. (I used 2 since I used fur and fleece which held up pretty well also because it was made last minute aha!)
For 2 you would bend them like so (ignore that I put 3 aha):
——————————————————————————————————-
After that you would place it on the the wrong side of the back fabric and hot glue it down. Make sure to leave a 1/8 inch to half a cm from the edge! Hot glue it down on all 3 pipe cleaners then quickly place the top on and sandwich that little bugger!
(I chose these sparkly silver pipe cleaners because I thought it would hold better onto the fabric and wig! But use what you have/like by all means~ If it ends up being too short/long on the ends for your preferences you can always add or subtract the pipe cleaner by twisting on some more or cutting some off!)
For 3 just add another pipe cleaner like so:
Once you have that it should look like this! 8D If there is too much pipe cleaner showing just touch up the sides to seal it all in with hot glue~~ edit* Additional fuzzy inside part optional! (I just took the scrap fur I cut and glued that on too!)
Now, how to place these on your wig! This is where you put on your wig and figure out where you want the ear to be placed. Once you have figured out where you want all 3 points to go on the wig try to figure out where those points are inside of your wig! There’s a lot of fumbling around involved here and your wig can get in the way but you can maybe clip or tie it to help you! Patience!! 8DD
It should look sort of like this!
Try to part the hair where you want to stick the pipe cleaner in!
Once you have it through one line of the wig loop it as shown!
If it’s in the mesh area just poke it through and form a circle and bend it flat down~
Then it should end up looking like this! Now turn it inside out and…
TA DAAA~~~~ You’ve gained Dog Tier !! 8DD
NOW ===> GO OFF AND BE A DOG, JADE.
There's this lapse in therian, transspecies, and other animal(-istic) oriented spaces (even in the furry community where it's largely roleplay and rarely anyone identifies with or as a nonhuman) where one will "stay in their species" and refuse to venture outside of it.
Nonhumanity, beasthood, whatever term fits best for you as the reader, hinges on the idea that biology doesn't determine species, that species is a construct to justify one's separation and abuse from the Earth and all that inhabits it, that it and other classifications are fluid in that sense and can get ever more so. It's based in the idea that parts of an identity can "contradict" each other.
So why is it that these communities will often 'pick' one species and limit themselves to it? Why is it that every other post there's someone confused over phantom/physical wing shifts when their species doesn't have it? Why is it that non-amphibians geek out over how cool it would be to have gills, only to frame it as 'silly' because their -type doesn't posses them?
You can be physically a wolf and mentally a beetle. You can be a biological shark with a dove's wings. You can be a robot with organic fins. The fursona you use doesn't have to be 'realistic' 'unique' 'aesthetically pleasing' or 'symbolic', it can be anything you like. The gear that gives you euphoria doesn't have to be of your species. You can work towards gaining gills as an otter because you'd find them useful.
Mixing and matching your physical, mental, and spiritual components is okay. Redefine how you view species. Redefine how you view yourself as inhuman.
When you say your body is human but you’re completely nonhuman, can I ask how it works for you? I wonder if I relate
it's kinda hard to explain, but ill try. so, im not physically nonhuman, right? my body is completely, 100% human; i look human, i have human physiology, i have human organs and human cells and human DNA. but my body is not me. "me", my mind, my conscience, what some people would call my soul, isnt in my body; its in my brain.
if you removed every organ of my body but left only the brain (and managed to keep me alive somehow), i would still be me. if you only removed my brain, but left everything else, i would not be me anymore. does that make sense?
my mind is what is nonhuman. i am a dragon with a human body, a human with a dragon mind. if i am not my body but my mind, then i am completely nonhuman, even if my body is not.
This is very similar to how I feel!
Except in my case, I don't feel like I am my brain either, but rather an inhabitant of the brain which I am using. My body is my vessel; it's mine in the same way I could own a vehicle.
Driving a car doesn't mean I AM a car. Owning a car doesn't mean I'm a car, despite it being "my car". I utilise the car's functions and internal mechanics to drive it; I am limited, in the process of driving, to the capabilities of the car.
While driving the car, I still know how to swim, but I can't make the car swim, yeah?
And though the car only moves according to what I want it to do, and though it is indeed mine, I'm still not a car - just the person who's driving it.
In a similar way - I am entirely physically human, in that I am inhabiting a human body which functions according to its own human biological mechanisms. But I am not at all human. This is true even though I look like a human and work like a human, and in a lot of cases do think like a human. These are effects of the human brain I'm driving, which has its own gears and mechanisms which I can't directly control (same as I couldn't just reach into a car's engine and change how it works, but I don't need to be able to do that to drive it)!
Sometimes I feel at odds with my own human brain, because it doesn't feel like me; it doesn't feel like home. But also, a wolf can't think up a fictional story and a spirit monster can't pet a cat, so I think it roughly balances out. ^^
