Bark! Bark! Bark!
Hello all, I'm a grey wolf, commonly under the labels "lycan" or "therian". I'm a cross of Rocky Mountain and Mackenzie Valley wolf, belonging in mountainous and boreal ecosystems. My coat is pale yellow, then darkening on my back to a gold brown and smoke. I'm large for my species, but not the biggest, with pale green eyes and large paws.
My identity goes beyond wolves, experiencing kinship with peregrine falcons and other wild canine species such as dingoes, African wild dogs, coyotes, jackals, etc. I also identify as a Dutch Shepherd dog, although it's rarer for me to experience such a strong connection as I do with wolves.
I've been awakened for almost a decade, and have considered myself nonhuman since birth. I don't see it as psychological, spiritual, or even physical. I consider all of myself to be a wild animal.

I'm here to learn of others experiences, I've been active within the therianthropy and lycanthropy communities for a while, and relate heavily to the more traditional origins of the communities from AHWW (Alt Horror Werewolves) and other niches from late 90s-00s.
I have an alterhuman partner and will use this blog to post about my own life, learn more about other beings, and share interesting things made around the community. I'm also interested in cowboy culture, paleo-inspired lifestyles, nature conservation/ecosystem management, and hiking/camping.
I'm comfortable with non-fem pronouns (he/they/it), and canine-inspired neo-pronouns (mutt/wolf/etc). My username comes from the colloquial term of baby bison (my favourite animal) "red dogs".

I'm queer, pro-indigenous, and environmentally conscious.
I hunt irl, skin animals, and engage in a bushcraft lifestyle. If you're against any of those, you won't have fun on this blog. As a wolf, I feel deeply interwoven with the cycle of life, paying respects to what sustains me; and allowing myself to sustain others whenever possible.
I may post/reblog things that can be distressing to others, such as hunting, marking, prey drives, and mild gore.
