Kay sooo I don't do this often, but... For those who might not know, today is the 1 year anniversary of Henry's death on EaPS. And the 1st was the 1 year anniversary of my dad's death so... I thought I would make something in honor of both of them.

You can read it if you like. It's a little all over the place at the end, but be nice about it. Okay?

It's inspired by my dad's favorite Taylor Swift song, New Year's Day. And it means a lot to me

I'm 23. Have had mine since kindergarten. Got her from one of my parent's friend when I used to spend some time at her house cause she made dresses for my dolls and she had toys that her grandkids played with. I didn't want to leave her so the friend let me keep her

Her name is Lulu. She is a white cat, well. Was white. She probably needs a bath in the washer lol.

I think she was some big beanie baby because she had the tag but I took it off. She also had whiskers and a ribbon but I also took those off.

I called her my nightmare kitty cause I slept with her on my head, like a sleep mask. I guess because my child brain thought if nightmares happen in your head while asleep, then maybe that'll keep them away

Nowadays I just put her on my head to keep light out when I'm trying to sleep.

I love asking people how their parents met. You always get an interesting reply. My best friend’s parents met on the relatively new internet in 1999. My other friend’s parents met at Burger King when one was the manager and the other was a regular customer. My parents met at the beach because they were neighbors in their rental houses, mom was on a church trip and dad was getting blackout drunk every night with his friends next door.

#kat talks #kat reblogs #kat lore #my mom worked at a liquor store and my dad walked in then walked out #i cant remember who called but they said he was going to get some bud light beer #so yeah my dad was intimated by mom when they first met #mind you my dad had two failed marriages before my mom but still #but i guess there were sparks #they got married in '99 when my half bro from 1st marriage was 12 and half sis from 2nd marriage was i believe about 1 or 2 years old #one year later they had my bio brother and then two years later had me #sadly they lost custody of my half sis cause 2nd ex wife was a bitch so i didn't get to have a big sister in my life #they were a lot of ups and downs #and dad wasnt perfect but he loved us #he was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 when i was 11 and it only got worse til his finally died #we've gotten through all the firsts without him #my parents anniversary was july 11th #they would have been married 27 years #the one year anniversary of his death is coming up soon in august #but my mom fought hard to get everything he needed in life and in death

This reminds me of the time my mom and I went to her doctor's appointment and a lady brought a kangaroo inside. Well he was in a little pouch purse thing, but still.

I almost didn't notice him until I looked up from my phone and saw him. My mom noticed as well and was like 'is that a kangaroo?-'

His name was Kalvin, at that time he was about 5 or 7 months old. He was a rescue because his mom I think died and the people who had him before the lady did I think couldn't take care of him. Can't remember since this was a while ago. I think the lady also takes him around to schools in that area to like let kids seem and stuff, Idk. Like I said, this was a while back.

Our doctor's kids were there so the lady set him down on the ground, he did a little poop so my doctor cleaned it up and my mom went "[doctor's name], are you cleaning up roo poo?" As like a lighthearted joke and all the nurses laughed and stuff.

Fun day all around and I got to pet him. I gave him little scritches and pets and it was the best day of my life. I achieved greatness. Petting a baby kangaroo.

MY FIRST SOTW!!

The theme is musicals, specifically stage musicals like Broadway and such-

Now I have two drawings because I didn't know if my original drawing would work so the second is like an alternative choice-

First one is Sun and Dazzle having a father daughter moment with the song Under the Bamboo Tree from my favorite Judy Garland musical Meet Me in St. Louis. Now yes, this IS a movie musical, HOWEVER there are stage productions of it, at least small ones.

But if it doesn't count then the alternate choice is Folly as Anne Boleyn from SIX The Musical, the first ever musical I ever actually got really into.

So yeah! These are my first SOTW entries, I hope they picked, but if not then oh well. Always next time I guess lol.

You ever just rewatch Pucca and end up creating fan kids?

Anyways uhhhh mixed both og seasons and love recipe in terms of lore, but my main “canon” has

- Pucca is a “mini” deity (Buddhism thing don’t worry about it) to explain why the hell She Was Like That in season 1 and 2, so because of that, Daeshim inherits those powers!

- there were implications that Tobe did something to Garu’s family to explain their animosity, that’s canon for my AU

- the AU is Made For Fun Do Not Take What I say As Gospel
