With that being said, if you have malicious intent you will be banned/kicked and we do not mess around with the server’s safety.

What do you reckon the crew members do to relax during their free time?

So I’ve been thinking on this a lot recently, and I figured I could make headcanons for everyone, but that would take a long time. So here are just a few of my favorite characters I wanted to touch on- feel free to request someone in particular!!

Captain Barnacles

- Piloting the octopod!! He’s a captain at heart and he knows he shouldn’t let his skills regress, especially not when they could be needed at any moment!

- When he’s not manning the wheel or the waters are calm, he likes reading! Probably 1000 leagues under the sea, or maybe something land-based to get a break from all that water. 

Dashie

- Listening to radio broadcasts! Since she spends a ton of time on the sonar of the octopod, I wouldn’t put it past her to also be interested in surface-level radio transmissions. I think she likes to map all the different radio stations she’s tuned into.

- And not to say this again, but also reading! We know from certain episodes that Dashie loves mystery novels. I bet she, Barnacles and the Professor all read together in the library from time to time. Like a book club!

Shellington 

- Shellington actually spends a lot of time in Peso’s medical bay, getting field research on the species of flora and fauna that pass through his infirmary. Plus, he likes to have the other members of the crew to talk to, and Peso doesn’t mind the company!

- Gardening with the vegimals! It’s typically their job anyways, but he likes to lend a helping hand when he can. Or he just sits in with them and watches them work- I bet it gets pretty entertaining.  Thanks for the ask, nonnie!

Regressor!Mikey moodboard + HCs

- Mikey typically regresses to around 4-6, he’s very playful and upbeat

- L O V E S stickers. He’ll put them everywhere- On his shell, his kneepads, his brothers, furniture, he one time tried to put them on his food

- An artistic regressor, is constantly drawing. But keep a close eye on him, or he might just eat his crayons. Whoops?

- For as enthusiastic as he is, Mikey gets tired out quick. He becomes a total cuddlebug, and WILL pout until someone gives him the attention he thinks he deserves

- He loves cartoons and comics, even if he isn’t big enough to understand them sometimes

- On days his regression is impure, he makes it a point to seek out Raph- he knows he’s safe with his tough older brother, nomatter what

Bonus:

- Donatello sometimes lets him play on his gameboy if he’s been particularly well behaved

- (He just likes to mash the buttons)

- Likes to keep you busy with worksheets when you’re big enough to do them

- Will constantly ask you what color/shape something is, or to sound out ‘big’ words for him

- Isn’t very physical, so affection typically comes in the form of compliments and praise

- He will, however, hold your hand if you’re being insistent

- Adores giving you cute, if a bit pretentious pet names like ‘Felis’ and ‘ Araceae’

- Delights in any chance to read bedtime stories to you, even going as far as to suspend his disbelief when the books are about faeries/mermaids/etc

Hello beans, bears, and babies! I’ve been out of commission with work + some health (back street boys reunion tour, anyone?) related issues, so I know I haven’t been here to do any babysitting. Hopefully this will help those of you who need it in my absence!

Where do I even START? Well, first, thanks for the ask! Secondarily, *takes a deep breath*

Shellington, BARNACLES(!!), Tweak, Optimus Prime, Perceptor, BATTLE UNICORN(!!), JAZZ(!!), APPLEJACK(!!), Fluttershy, Rarity, Krobus, JORGE (Halo!!), TORPEDO (G.I Joe) and i thiiiiink that’s all of my major ones. I have TONS of others, since I really easily get attached to the characters of the shows I watch, but these are the ones I would really consider truly ‘comforting’, as in its them I think of during overloads/panic attacks.

Do you have any tips for fighting regression? I’ve been regressing a lot more recently and I’m concerned about going into work.

Fighting regression is something I cannot earnestly recommend, but I understand that it is something people have to cope with. A lot of times regression is an involuntary thing that comes with dealing with trauma- so applying grounding techniques is a good place to start!

1. Breathe! I cannot stress this enough. Make sure you’re breathing enough, you’re breathing deeply, and you’re keeping a cadence. Mind your breath. To avoid regression, instead of doing calming or relaxing breaths, try ones that help you feel alert and more focused. For example, the 4/7/8 method.

2. Everyone’s favorite grounding method! Grounding helps us remember where we are, what we’re doing, and that we are in the present. And hopefully, it’ll remind you to stay in big space for a little while.

3. Before you start work (or even during, just make sure it’s at a time where you can take a step away!) try and visualize your little self as another person, mentally. Talk to them. Explain to them that you love them, and that you’ll be back for them- but you just can’t be with them right now. Right now, you have to go to work, and do boring adult things. But that’ll make being together that much sweeter! Feel free to plan out with your little self what you plan on doing after you get home- but don’t let them take the wheel completely.

4. I don’t really like this one, but put on a mask. You know how big you would act better than anyone. Replicate that. Imitate how you normally function, and then keep at it until you eventually fall into the groove of being big. Doing so is hard and doing this a lot can be damaging, so please try to cut yourself some slack and when you can, find time to give yourself a break.

Lastly, remember that you’re healing. This is a natural part of that process, and being regressed is nothing to be ashamed of. However, if you find that regression is seriously impacting the way you function and interact with people in your day-to-day life, or that you are unable to be big or find yourself ‘locked’ in a regression headspace, PLEASE seek help. A therapist, a trusted adult, someone who you can reach out to for guidance. Sometimes situations like these need more attention than a sibling can give you.

With that being said, other siblings (and regressors) are welcome to offer their two cents. I hope this helps someone out there. 💕

But now that I have your attention...

Littles can present abusive behavior.

Yes, I know it might be hard to believe or even find but I, once, didn't care enough for my past caregiver because I, like many, had the mindset of "their job is to care for me. If they're not doing it all the time, do they even love me for real???"

Now I'm able to comprehend that this can escalate into something unfair and unhealthy for both parts. There are CGs that regress. There are CGs that work all day long. There are CGs that need time to understand their littles. There are CGs that suffer from anxiety, depression and other mental health problems. They also need love, attention and reassurance so they can know they're doing good.

If a little doesn't understand that and can only thing about themselves, they need to change. We talk a lot about how age regressors need to hear "you've been so good today", but CGs also feel happy when they listen to these same words.

When you ask yourself "does my CG really love me???", just think about all of the things that they do on a daily basis, the small and simple things, not only the big ones. Think about how they work hard, not only for you but also outside, on their job, school or whatever. Congratulate them for being strong and also be there if they need to cry. And if they ever tell you "I wanna regress", accept them with open arms, you two can have play dates and find things to do together!

Just be understanding. And CGs, remember your worth. You're wonderful.

This is SO important. I hate to be super serious on this blog but I see a lot of posts about how to handle regression and some of the points are seriously unhealthy, unrealistic, or just plain toxic in practice for a carer’s mental health. The golden rule applies to everyone, regressors and caregivers alike. Please take a moment and check in on your partner. That doesn’t mean you have to baby them, or treat them like they would you- just ask them how their day was. Let them know you care, and that you’re there for them. Maybe even draw them a picture of something they like!

I have emailed my teacher TWICE, as well as told him up-front that I prefer Sam, not my deadname. Yet every single day, I’ve got to hear him say it during roll. It’s just not fair, why does he continue to do this even when I’ve told him I don’t feel comfortable with it? Does he think I’m Trans? Because that reveals a number of more serious problems. I’m getting sick of this nonsense. I just want to be separated from the name that brought me so much pain. I want to be Sam.
