Gotta say, I thought we all watched this show for imperfect victims. I thought we all watched this show to empathize with people we would otherwise hate. I thought we watched this show to challenge our worldviews and our first impressions - asking "what is missing from this picture and why"

I've never seen a fandom so dedicated to eating itself alive and blaming the writers for giving us a show about trauma, abuse, and unhealthy coping mechanisms. I don't like Lestat either, but jesus. He's actively being abused on screen, he's not okay and what he's doing is not okay, but you can fucking feel his despair, can't you? Can't you?

Some of us weren't made to be easy to love, are we a problem, too?

y’all. armand is not saying that he never loved louis. he’s saying that his love for louis was not the love strong enough to distract him. that was his love for daniel, like. that’s how strong it is. but please this is not a gotcha moment or proof that armand never loved louis! not every confirmation of love must be followed by a weird transactional “and therefore the character never loved anyone else.” that’s not how love works and that’s just reaaaally really not the show we are watching.

They’re already so romantic. I can’t believe this. The softness in between all the toxicity is already there which is arguably the most important part of their dynamic. The love coming from Armand is so palpable and the way Daniel softens when he says it is everything. He’s confused, not angry.
