Now with the body safely disposed of, all Chara had to do was flee the crime scene. So they turned around, completely unaware of the danger encroaching behind them- annnd down they went. Tackled to the ground. Alas, Chara may have been older... but they were still cursed with short genes.

... Was Kris literally trying to gnaw on their skull? "Okay, that's it, playtime is over," Chara said as they attempted to push their sibling off, "Really, were you raised in a barn?"

Of course they had to take it a little too far.

Annoying sibilings isn't fun, if it doesn't end up with one of them upset or genuinely hurt, after all, right?

Story of their life.

"I was raised with you and Azzy. It might as well be a ba-

Woof!"

A surprise push from Chara was enough to make them fall over, splatting by the older's side.

They blink once. Twice. And eventually let out a loooong groan.

"You used to be funnier."

"Well pardon me, dear sibling of mine," Chara began as they pushed themself up off of the ground, "I did not know being your relative also meant being your personal court jester."

They brushed the dust from the floor off of their front, before glancing back at Kris on the ground quizzically, "You have not been genuinely injured, have you?"

They figured the answer was probably no, considering Kris's smart mouth at the moment. However, it did not hurt to check.

"Oh no! I have blooood on my hands now." Chara laughed while holding the murder weapon to their chest, "I'd better hide the evidence while I can!"

Which was why they left the crime scene, briefly, so that they could return with numerous blankets. All of which they piled on top of Kris's 'body', "There. Buried."

Now the police couldn't possibly suspect a thing!

Ah, not only they got murdered in cold blood, but now they're even becoming a missing person! A missing corpse, no less! Kris played along the whole way through, tho, acting as the best goddamn murder victim out there... at least until the blankets were put on them.

And they took a second. Maybe two, moving way slower than they wanted ( did Chara really had to take their mom's heavy blankets, too?! ) before they could manage to jump back up, letting out the most realistic zombie noise they could muster and-

Oh man they really tried to tackle their sibiling to try and eat their brain, huh. Anything for realism.

He'd go on about how Chara used to break through their mother's parental locks so they could watch R-rated horror movies and why didn't they do that anymore? Why did they have to leave?? Meanwhile Chara is just like, "... I prefer literature more."]

chara, what's your living situation been like since you got home? do you live with toriel or asgore nowadays since they split?

"Have you seen my father's living space? It is... quite dire." They were also pretty sure there wasn't any space for a second person, which meant no privacy. They valued their privacy.

Speaking of privacy... "Mother's house is much nicer, but the lack of room is still an issue. No, I have been renting out an apartment for myself instead."

Not like it mattered, as their dinky little apartment was still more expensive than they could afford. They would likely have to move back in with their mother soon regardless, and they'd have to share a bedroom with their siblings again. As a grown adult. How embarrassing.

Victory! Their assassination attempt was a success! Now all they need to do is run away and hide before the enemy could retailate-

Nevermind that. Kris could be as skilled as they could be, but they made the terrible mistake of understimating their sibiling. Their demise is as inevitable as its brutal.

Which is why they just lay down, their own weapon still in their hand, before making a noise indicating their death - "ough!!!" -, staying on the floor. Oh, the drama! The bloodshed!!

Sugarcoatless Chara HCs : )

-Enjoys clever wordplay. (By that I mean they like puns but are also a huge snob about it.)

-One of those older siblings who can't wrap their head around why their younger sibling likes them at all.

-The overalls in the key art I drew for them is actually just what they wear for work/gardening, their casual clothes mainly consist of lowkey alt styles.

-Chara, Dess, and Asriel briefly tried to form a band. "Briefly" and "tried" being the key words here. Chara was on drums because that meant they could hit their feelings with sticks : )

-They had a huge fight with Dess shortly before her disappearance and they've felt guilty about it ever since : ) They don't even remember what the fight was about, but they do remember that it ended with them shrieking about how they never wanted to see her again. They would regret that specific wording shortly after.

-They don't know jack nor shit about the Hometown Cult Conspiracy or whatever. They are literally just standing there.

-Very Complicated Feelings over Kris being so similar to them. They hope it's just an unconscious thing because they don't view themself as someone who should be emulated.

"Oh, now is THAT how it is, you little twerp?" Chara said said with a grin, shortly recovering from the mild stumble they had from the impact. Perhaps it was slightly embarrassing that they stumbled from a pillow attack at all, but in their defense they were caught off guard.

They had half a mind to simply wrestle the cushiony weapon of destruction away from Kris and be done with it, but... oh, what the hell. Chara grabs a pillow of its own and whacks them over the head with it. Comeuppance.

Alone in the Flower King | Open Starter

Chara idly tapped at the counter. Their father had left for a few hours for some errands, which meant that they were left in the flower shop alone. Which was perfectly fine, they could handle manning the cash register alone. They were an adult. They could handle themself.

At least, disregarding the last time it was left alone for just a few hours.

This was different, though. Someone could step through that front door any second now. Even though their father's store rarely if ever gained any business. Still, they were technically doing... something important. At least this way, the store could still be open if someone were to show up this time.

... Damn it, they were bored. Which was bad, because boredom meant that its thoughts would start to wander. A Chara who was all alone with their wandering thoughts was a bad combination. It knew that very well. Maybe it should busy itself with making flower arrangements, again? At least until someone actually entered the store. If someone enters the store.
