the important thing to remember is that the whole isat party is trying really really hard to be chill and normal about each other. but they’re not. none of them are normal about how they feel about the others, all of them have deep loneliness and insecurities that have felt answered and eased by their time together in spite of the dire circumstances. so much so that the thought of parting ways makes them feel desperate and clingy and sad. but they’re Trying To Be Normal so no one can know they feel like that. because obviously no one else does and everyone has plans and it would be weird to be like “hey i know your whole life was uprooted by this whole catastrophe but do you want to hang out more instead of going home. maybe forever. can i put you all in my pocket and keep you with me always. i just think it would be nice”
