Sounds interesting. Unfortunately I already have too many aus to do a moms au, but here’s some quick au idea adopts for anyone who is interested:
- Au where Izuku’s has two moms: Midnight and Inko. His desire to become a hero only slightly outweighs his fear of people finding out his hero mom has all his baby photos. Because she will show them to everyone and I mean everyone.
- Au where Izuku’s mom dies in a villain attack and he gets adopted by Mirko. Izuku is even more terrifying. Who needs arms when you have these thighs?
- Au where Izuku gets adopted by Thirteen after being experimented on by the the Doctor and accidentally rescued during a natural disaster. He wants to be a search and rescue hero because of her. Thirteen and him are very protective of each other.
- Au where Ms Joke finds an abandoned mute kid Izuku. Her desire to make him smile leads to her ultimately becoming his mom. Aizawa is accidentally roped into being a dad here.
Bonus round: Au where Todoroki’s mom leaves/divorces Endeavor instead of getting sent to the hospital and meets Inko, another mom who recently was abandoned by her husband. Both bond and ultimately fall in love. Big surprise during the Sports Festival for ol Todoroki, because the mom who supposedly “abandoned him (Endeavor kept her away)” is with Izuku’s bio mom and they’re sitting in the stands. Cue drama.

Au where kurogiri/Oboro still has to finish highschool
Saw this on a friend’s timeline needed it …two of my favorite comics ever are X-Men and Captain America.
X-Men is about Civil Rights. If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get X-Men.
Black Panther is about Civil Rights. If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get Black Panther.
Captain America literally fought the Nazis. He is the embodiment of fighting the alt-right. If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get Captain America.
The Empire in Star Wars is fascist. The Rebel alliance is Anti-Fascist. If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get Star Wars.
The Punisher isn’t meant to be a role model for police or armed forces. So much so that the writers of The Punisher made him actively speak out against it in a comic. If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get The Punisher.
Deadpool is queer. He’s pansexual. Fact. If you didn’t get that you didn’t get Deadpool.
Star Trek is about equality for all genders, races, and sexualities. As early as the mid-60s it was taking a pro-choice stance and defending women’s right to choose. One of its clearest themes is accepting different cultures and appearances and working together for peace. (It’s also anti-capitalist and pro-vegan). If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get Star Trek.
Superman and Supergirl (and a whole host of other superheroes) are immigrants. The stance of those comics is pro-immigration and pro-equality and acceptance. If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get Superman or Supergirl.
Stan Lee said, “Racism and bigotry are among the deadliest social ills plaguing the world today.” If you’re bigoted or racist, you didn’t get any of the characters Stan Lee created.
The stories we grew up with all taught us to value other people and cultures and to treasure the differences between us. Only villains were xenophobic, or sexist, or racist, or totalitarian. I can’t understand how anyone can have missed that.
If you’re upset that there’s a black Spider-Man, or a black Captain America, or a female Thor, or that Ms. Marvel is Muslim, or that Captain Marvel was pro-feminism, or any of the other things right-wing “fans” say is “stealing their childhood” - you never got it in the first place. The things you claim are now “pandering to the lefties” were never on your side to begin with.
If you consider yourself a fan of these things, but you still think the LGBTQ+ community is too “in your face”, or have a problem with Black Lives Matter, or want to “take the country back from immigrants”, then you’re not really a fan at all.
Geek culture isn’t suddenly left-wing… it always was. You just grew up to be intolerant. You became the villain in the stories you used to love. Disagree? See yourself out.

AFO: “This whole traitor incident has been very upsetting for my poor Izuku, but now at least we can finally be together, and far, far away from that blonde imbecile.” All Might: “MIDORIYA, MY BOY! I have followed you to continue your training!
All for One slams the door shut but the next thing he knows, Inko has invited All Might him (he crawled by the window) and is making him tea.
It's Midoriya's first day at Shiketsu and when the principal brings him into his homeroom to introduce him, there's something else to announce as well.
"As you know," he says, "we've been looking for another heroics teacher to help keep up with you for a while. I am, uh, very pleased to tell you --" and even more confused, his expression says -- "that we just hired on All Might as your secondary heroics teacher. It was very sudden."
The students spend the day getting used to this; it's easier when they go to Heroics that afternoon and realize that the skeleton-looking man who's been sitting in the back of every class is All Might. It's even easier when they see All Might's lanky figure shuffling note cards around when he thinks they're all paying attention to Ms. Joke. It doesn't take for the students to come to the logical conclusion about All Might's relationship with the transfer student, Midoriya, but most of them are happy to keep quiet for now.
That night, Eri wakes up Aizawa in the middle of the night. All she will tell him is that she dreamed about a tall man with white hair who needed her help; the description sounds familiar enough to give Aizawa chills, but he pushes it aside to help her get back to sleep.
On Midoriya's second day of school at Shiketsu, the principal comes into homeroom again, this time looking much paler.
"I know you're still getting used to All Might," he says, "but last night your History of Heroics teacher quit. Unexpectedly."
The classroom erupts in a flurry of concern.
"Ah, but, we've already found her replacement! Mr. Midoriya was ever-so-eager to come help out and spend more time with his son."
Midoriya sits up straight, startled. All Might, in the back, coughs up blood in surprise. The students simmer in confusion.
A tall, white-haired, well-dressed man walks through the door, looking like the cat that got the canary.
"I'm quite pleased for the opportunity to help mold the minds of tomorrow, and to finally spend some time with my beloved-- YOU?" He exclaims suddenly, noticing All Might with a look of pure horror.
"YOU?" All Might shouts back, just as horrified.
"DAD?" Izuku cries, looking back and forth between them in distress.
Dads? the students wonder. Dads, the students decide, already wondering how no one had ever heard of All Might's ex-husband who clearly provided the genetic material for their child.
The principal sighed. This'll be one long semester.
You had me at everyone assuming Izuku is All Might’s secret lovechild, you had my love at AFO arriving to teach Heroic History (oh, the things he has to say) and you now have my allegiance at everyone assume AFO is All Might’s ex-husband.

Rewatching atla episodes for Reasons and I just realised that Zuko found Appa the night after he found out he was missing. The gaang have been desperately searching for, what? A few weeks? And Zuko sees a poster saying Appa is missing and just squares tf up and finds him immediately. What a fucking madman.
#this is why they put him in charge of the Fire Nation #there is nothing Zuko cannot find up to and including his country’s long lost sense of morality
i mean he had already managed to actually find the avatar, whom literally the entire world (except katara lmao) had believed was dead and gone forever. im pretty sure if zuko decides he is going to Find Something the universe rearranges itself to put it in his path.
This comes in handy when he has kids.

Not sure if this has already been done or not, but I mean...you know I had to 👀
I’m tired of getting these stupid offers to work on people’s “passion projects” for free, usually with the promise of compensation when/if the project takes off. Guess what? I don’t care that you’re passionate about it, I care if you’re competent. When you knock on my door asking for free work, its a clear sign that you aren’t. You might have hopes that your project hits it big and that you’ll eventually get rich off of it, but if you REALLY believed in it, I feel like you’d be more willing to put your own livelihood on the line instead of asking an artist to do it for you. If I do a bunch of free work hoping it’ll pay off, I’m not doing other work that could actually feed me and pay my bills. And what happens when the project doesn’t get funded or some important factor blows up or everyone decides to quit out early? I get screwed. So, no. I don’t want to work on your passion project. Not unless I get paid up front.
WONDERFUL ADVICE for artists. Please don’t undervalue your art, your time and efforts are valuable and deserve fair compensation.
Writers! Don’t treat cover artists, concept artists, illustrators, comic artists, or the folks who offer to draw your ocs like this! If you can afford it, pay. If you can’t, NO ART for you.
And if they say they are willing to do it for free because they’re your friend or they’re still practicing, offer to pay anyway. That’s the sincere and professional thing to do. If they insist, try to leave them a tip anyway. It’s the kindest gesture and they’ll remember you forever.
