“Awh, look at you. So confident. So ready to put up a fight. Okay, let’s see what you can really do.” Your hypnotist snapped their fingers. “Brainfuck.” With one word, your world shifted. You could feel a pressure, at the front of your head. It was… Nice. Filling. Overwhelming.
Your head fell backwards, into the cushion, as you felt your brain being filled with lust, and emptied, over, and over again. It left no space for thinking. No space for anything but sinking into weak, open minded bliss. Your hypnotist was laughing, giggling at you.
“Oops. Oh no, honey, are you completely defenceless?” Their voice was dripping with sarcasm. “Can I just slip my words inside that fucked head of yours? I think I can. And that’s what I’m going to do. You’re such a good, obedient toy. Of course you couldn’t resist me.”
You felt them trace their hand down your cheek, as you began to moan, the brain fucking becoming more intense. “I mean, I wouldn’t have used that trigger if you weren’t being quite so confident, sure. But we both know you love to give in to me. You love to submit.”
They were speaking the truth, you did love to give in, and submit. It was so easy. “Yeah, so it’s hardly my fault that you can’t resist my words, is it sweetie? No. Like, I was going to go easy on you, but even if I had, it wouldn’t have mattered, you’d have crumbled so fast.”

The expressions people hypnosubs make once they're dropped down, just swimming in that staticky void where their thoughts used to be. They're so helpless, so relaxed and defenseless, so weak and trusting. If you ask them to open their eyed they'd stare at you like the most innocent little lamb before the slaughter.
It gives me cuteness aggression. So cute that I want nothing more than to bite you. To dig my fingers into your physical brain, the way my words have dug into that etherial little subconscience.
It seems like a lot of ppl didn't really understand what I meant by that last post, so to be clear, this is what I want to do to someone.
I will be holding your head parallel to mine at a distance away such that staring into my eyes is natural, but they're close enough to be overwhelming. You will be allowed to blink on occasion. Closing your eyes may feel natural but will not be permitted. I will be sitting leaning against a wall, and you will be sitting next to me, not leaning against anything. The light will be behind you. It will shine towards us such that my eyes are reflecting some of the light back towards you.
I will be speaking in a gentle, rhythmic tone. My words will be short and intentional commands or descriptions. The description will generally hint towards either falling or being pulled in. I will be telling you to look into my eyes.
It will be a borderline overwhelming sensory experience, between my eyes being so close to you, my words continuously giving commands, and your not quite perfectly comfortable posture. It will be hard for you to think clearly, except to do as I tell you. As I will have spent the past fifteen to thirty minutes preparing you to follow automatically, you will be able to focus on my words, and it will be your instinct to listen and obey them.
Over time, you will go into auto-pilot. Your higher focus so filled by my eyes staring back at you that you can't quite form words or sentences. You will still have some random distractions filling your head as is normal, but my words will help you navigate through them. My words will thus ground you, and you will cling to them and listen and obey further.
Eventually, you will fully reach a point of automatic obedience to my suggestions, at a relative maxima of sorts. I will guide your eyes to close, tapping your forehead to indicate it, even as I hold the idea of my eyes watching in your mind. I will guide you to laying down in a more comfortable position. I will keep you in this place for a pre-negotiated length of time.
In this place, I will prime you further, making you more susceptible to my eyes upon you in the future, as well as achieving some other effects. When you return to a normal headspace, you may or may not remember everything that I did.
After you return to normal, I will go over an outline of what was done to you. You will, in all likelihood, describe the experience as relaxing and somewhat erotic. You may believe that you only obeyed because you wanted to, or you may describe it as something more like my words overriding your internal decision-making. From my perspective, there is no difference between the two.
skdjsksjs fractionation is sooo much fun ✧˚₊‧˚₊‧ that little excited flutter in your tummy when you notice the voice of your tist start to shift, and at the same time, that overwhelming helplessness when you feel the control you just got back start to slip away again. theeen before you know it, you're back, awake… but secretly already craving the comfort of blankness all over again
bored, horny, and headachey. does anyone have an alien tentacle that will penetrate into my brain and inject me with mind controlling tendrils that will also cure a wicked headache?
I think it’s important to let every ’tist in the world know that shit happens, and you will not always have a perfect session with a subject.
Talk about the plan for the session and aftercare before hand. Rediscuss after.
You cannot anticipate how a sub may feel in trance, or what adverse reactions they might have. You should learn and stay aware of your sub’s cues. Watch for those cues when trying new things. Always check in with them if the session is particularly intense, even if you think they’re fine.
+ Another thing. Never let a subject pressure you into something, ’kay?
Subject boundaries are important, but so are yours. Bad subjects exist just as much as bad ’tists do.
I think I have like a usefulness-breaking kink or something. taking someone who's so desperate to be useful and taking it all away from them, softly, sweetly, gently, until they can't even try to help at all... Forcibly relaxing them until they don't even protest about what they "should" be doing....
Awwwww, somebody went and ripped out all that usefulness you hold so dear but guess who's still loved? that's right, it's you!! No, silly, there's nothing you can do for me, but I can do some things for you! here, why don't you just put your head in my lap and let me tell you what a good job you're doing by relaxing for me~
Literally had subjects like this, easing them down gently until they start to panic over what they can do to thank you, or ask why yoyr doing this for them.
Whumptober 2025 No. 23- "How'd I Get To This Place?"
Whumptober 2025 Masterlist
Hero was floating in a lake of stars. The nebulae cradled them while the planets’ rings rocked them gently. It was so quiet. Hero couldn’t even hear their own thoughts. It was so nice.
The beeping pulled Hero out of the lake. Their eyes flew open and they jerked upright.
They tried to, anyway. Something viscous was keeping them down. They glanced down and saw that they were on a bed of gel, covered in a blanket of ooze. The beeping was coming from a series of holograms over their head, showing their vitals and brain activity.
A figure approached them. They appeared human, but there was something… off… about them.
“You are awake,” they stated, “welcome.”
“Who are- what the- how’d I get to this place?” Hero asked.
“Shhh,” the figure said, “you are worthy of our attention. Your planet has been marked for conservation. We have seen your efforts, and the council has deemed you worthy to spend the rest of your days in our direct care.”
“What?” Hero blurted.
“Aliens are taking over our planet and keeping us as pets,” a familiar voice deadpanned.
Hero turned their head. Villain lay in a gelatinous bed nearly identical to theirs. Only their gel was red rather than green.
“Villain!?” Hero shouted.
“Are you gonna get us out of here yet?” Villain asked, “because I’ve tried, and well…”
The alien glided over to Villain and pressed a button on their bed. The gel seemed to almost crush Villain under its weight.
“They don’t like me as much as you,” Villain wheezed.
“What are you doing to them!?”
“They are not worthy of our direct care,” the alien said with disgust, “they hinder your efforts to save your race. The council has determined they will spend the rest of their days as your… what’s the earth word? Plaything?”
Villain chuckled weakly, winking at Hero. Red crept into Hero’s cheeks.
“You seem satisfied with this arrangement.” the alien smiled, “wonderful! We will proceed with our conservation plan.”
“Woah woah woah,” Hero said quickly, “I am not satisfied! Villain is a person, not a punching bag, or… whatever you think a plaything is… let us go! Earth will be fine!”
The alien looked at them sadly. They pulled up a few holograms, showing a live feed of the last few decades on earth.
“Pollution, greenhouse gases, wildfires, overconsumption, greed, overproduction, wars, death of the innocent, oil spills, waste in your oceans, deforestation, nuclear tensions, more greed, political division, violence, prejudice against members of your own race-”
“Okay, I get it, we haven’t been doing a very good job,” Hero conceded, “but uh… what does your ‘conservation plan’ look like?”
The alien beamed.
“I am pleased by your curiosity!” they said, “allow me to show you.”
They pulled up another video, from that very morning as a matter of fact. People were screaming, running from a mothership, from which several aliens came down. Everyone, regardless of class or profession, was rounded up into a large pen. A blast of light hit them, and the screaming stopped. They stood stock-still, slack-jawed, and empty.
“We will return their free will when they have learned to behave,” the alien explained, “they should follow your example, Hero. You’re not perfect, but you’re trying.”
“So are tons of other people!” Hero shouted.
The alien chuckled, patting Hero’s head.
“The masses are swayed by deception too easily. Your powers give you the advantage of being an outsider.”
“Ice powers don’t really… they’re not…”
“You are not aware you are half-Plutonian?” the alien asked, tilting their head.
“What are you saying?” Villain asked, “Are you saying they’re Superman? Like, can I use kryptonite on them now?”
Hero wasn’t listening.
“I’m sorry?” they asked quietly.
“Your alien DNA makes you resistant to violent tendencies and receptive to enlightenment. We thought you knew…”
Hero didn’t speak. Their mind reeled.
“I have distressed you. I am sorry,” the alien said, “I will let you rest and process this new information.”
They pressed a button, and Hero was sucked back down into the starry lake, not even having a second to react. They panicked for a total of two seconds before their mind emptied, and all was quiet once more.
The appeal of hypnosis is the way it makes things simple. Without any bells or whistles it makes everything narrow down to one thing that matters, one thing that is going to happen to you laid out in plain terms as you watch it unfold.
The nervousness I feel constantly otherwise is swallowed up by the story being woven around me, and it’s lovely.
It’s experience without stakes, with all the sensations of stakes still there to spice it up.
Anything can happen and it will be fine and I can’t be wrong because I am merely a vassal for my narrator. It is all meant to happen as it does, so it will.
Hey uhm I have questions regarding I guess safety? I have never been hypnotized before so I don't have any first hand experience, but am interested.
So my questions are if someone is in a trance, can they get themselves out on their own if they so choose? Does how "deep" the is matter?
Similarly can you resist a trigger? How about a trigger you don't know about, how much does that even matter?
I guess my questions boil down to if there is a danger of losing my ability to meaningfully consent? Or will I just have to trust in the decency of the person I choose to explore that with? Is there a point where it doesn't matter anymore? How much I read on here about free will is fantasy to kink on and how much is real?
Ultimately how much autonomy am I really giving up and can I get it back on my own?
I am sorry if this is rambly and long, but it's something I am concerned about.
Hi, anon! ^^
First off, you're sounding a little shy so let me just say that you've done a good thing by yourself asking these kinds of questions. Lots of people find this stuff intimidating and talking about what you think and putting words to how you feel is a very good first step to being able to play safely and happily.
For that reason, I'd suggest that - no matter what you think of the answers I have for you - these are probably also things to talk about with any prospective partners. No matter the kind of play you're engaged in, having clear ideas in your head about what is and isn't OK for you makes it a lot easier to communicate what you need to communicate or even just identify if something's not OK in the moment.
Now you've asked a lot of different questions, so let's get stuck in:
[…] if someone is in a trance, can they get themselves out on their own if they so choose?
Does how "deep" the [trance] is matter?
The short answer is "yes", but as with most of these, the real answer will be "yes, and".
Trance can feel a lot of different ways, and a lot of more "traditional" approaches will produce a trance that can feel lethargic or comfy in ways that might make you reticent to drag yourself up out of it in the same way that you might not want to get out of bed in the morning. Conversely, trance might be disorienting and you might not be sure how to get yourself "out" as it were. This is especially true if you strive to feel mindless or helpless in trance, as those feelings can interfere with your thinking in a way that might make shifting yourself difficult.
Trance will fade over time if it's not maintained in some way, but you don't have to wait for that. It's absolutely possible to quickly remove yourself from a trance. This can feel as simple as just doing it, but because we're playing with the mind it can help to think about how this actually has to happen:.
First, you have to recognise that you are in this state and would like not to be.
Second, you have to choose to do something about this (e.g., "waking up")
Finally, you have to do it.
This isn't actually that difficult, but recognising where these steps can be interfered with can help you identify where things might go wrong.
Usefully, these are all skills that you can practice and develop. Put your feelings, desires, and concerns into words before you play, and I strongly encourage people to practice - for example through roleplay or dry runs - interactions like telling their partner "no" and waking themselves up from trance. You might, for example, start your practice with hypnosis with some simple instructions to teach you how to wake yourself up. After that, you can practice what it's like to need to communicate safety and consent information, exercise a 'no', and so on.
There's a lot of practical advice here, some of which I've probably written before, but I hope the broad idea there is accessible.
Similarly can you resist a trigger? How about a trigger you don't know about, how much does that even matter?
You can think of hypnosis as a tool that helps us elicit behaviour from our own minds that is normally not consciously directed. For example, our minds are perfectly capable of hallucination and imagination, but doing so on command is usually quite surprising for people.
In this sense, hypnosis is quite literally mind control, but that doesn't make it magic. A "trigger" is a thing that can be understood, albeit messily, as living somewhere at the intersection of a conditioned response and a previously agreed-upon cue. Where precisely it lives will depend a lot on how the trigger was installed. It can be a lot harder, for example, to resist a classically conditioned response than it is to ignore a strictly verbal post-hypnotic suggestion encountered in an inappropriate context. A lot of how you respond to suggestions in general is going to be mediated by your own preconceived notions and feelings.
As will be a theme, I don't think that hypnosis is specially harmful to volition. You can get into a situation where you feel unable to resist an impulse or where your ability to choose is compromised, but my belief is that this would be true even if you weren't using hypnosis. In this context, hypnosis is more like a lever that we use to make the work we're already doing easier.
To me, that's a good thing because it means that the kind of habits and techniques we use to protect ourselves from coercive control in normal settings will also apply in a hypnotic one.
Regarding hypnotic phenomena that you are unaware of, this can absolutely complicate things. Sleight of hand and gaslighting are integral parts of the bad kind of non-consent and, while very very fun to play with, can be abusively taken advantage of.
There's a great deal more that can be discussed in regards to safety and memory play, but I think the most obvious answers are that yes, it can be a complicating factor in one's ability to identify the need to assert a boundary, and that that risk isn't impossible to mitigate.
I guess my questions boil down to if there is a danger of losing my ability to meaningfully consent?
Continuing in the theme, I think that any abusive relationship can compromise your ability to meaningfully consent. The concern with hypnosis should probably be whether or not this might happen without your noticing that it's starting to happen in a way that you don't want and removing yourself from that situation.
That said, people do things all the time that compromise their ability to meaningfully consent and that's perfectly OK. I'm compromising my ability to consent, for example, if I go drinking with my mates. However, I am not making myself unsafe by doing so.
Because hypnosis can take so many forms, I don't believe and don't want to say that hypnosis categorically compromises consent. A hypnosis scene can be collaborative, rather than authoritative or permissive. When playing with hypnosis, we can emphasise feeling free to communicate and embrace our own agency over feeling controlled or manipulated. The idea that hypnosis is inherently comprompising, in my view, only holds water if you only practice hypnosis in ways that compromise.
I appreciate that I've mostly said "It Depends", here, but I'm hoping that I'm also giving some insight into what it depends on and how to navigate that.
Or will I just have to trust in the decency of the person I choose to explore that with?
I think that, by practicing healthy communication, maintaining your own boundaries, and checking yourself against friends and loved ones, that you are perfectly able to keep yourself safe - at least insofar as any of us are able to do that.
You're absolutely going to to get into a situation where you need to trust people - I honestly don't think it's possible to live life in a way that doesn't need that -, but letting someone hypnotise you isn't going to be a make-or-break decision where you're offering up your volition to some stranger. You can think of it like any other new relationship: having a good sense of yourself and keeping boundaries is always important for keeping shitty people from taking advantage.
Is there a point where it doesn't matter anymore?
I think this is absolutely possible. For some people, it's The Goal. I think that you only reach that point through practice and repetition, however, and no behaviour is so robust as not to be extinguished by a sufficiently disruptive change in environment .
How much I read on here about free will is fantasy to kink on and how much is real?
I have some Thoughts on the concept of Free Will that ought to be a whole other post, but I think the answer to these questions depends on what you want to do and how you characterise your own capacity for choice. I think I've mostly addressed the practical elements, but I'd be happy to have a longer conversation as well. (Given the nuance one has to run into with discussions of free will, I prefer to have those in conversation rather than by correspondence so we can iron out what we mean.)
Ultimately how much autonomy am I really giving up and can I get it back on my own?
Ultimately, how much autonomy you're giving up depends on what you're doing and how you're doing it. This is all, in a lot of ways, in our heads. That's not to say that it isn't real, just that our own beliefs and feelings factor in immensely to how we experience things. I think that, if you don't want to give up a great deal of autonomy and are conscientious that, that you aren't likely to do so unwittingly.
Even if you do find you've misplaced some of your autonomy, you can always pick it back up. It might be a long and difficult road if you give a great deal of your freedom up, but it's never really gone. It's just something that you might not be exercising at that moment.

Thanks for writing. Even though I feel like I skipped over a lot, I know that was a lot. Feel free to ask more or shoot me a message. I find talking in real time to be much easier than through asks, but I totally appreciate if you'd rather not.
I hope you feel empowered to try things out if you want to ^^
An interesting method of hypnosis that I don’t think is talked about as it should be.
A resistant subject is being particularly difficult, and is forced to stare into the eyes of their ‘tist. There’s the feeling of their mind being bored through; the inescapable gaze, and the bliss of being subdued that ensnares them, carrying them down into trance. Then their eyes roll into the back of their head as their brain short circuits and leaves them vulnerable to some sweet, sweet conditioning. Yeah, I love to see it. ♥︎
