Any advice for the first day of high school???
Take a deep breath, relax, it’s going to be okay. Most teachers won’t have you do anything on the first day, but make sure to bring paper and pencil (and a couple more for the people who inevitably don’t bring any). Make sure you have a big enough bag to carry like six books at a time because you’ll likely be hauling them around.
If you didn’t have a locker in middle school prepare to learn to use one! Also if you haven’t gotten one try and get one of those stands that help you seperate your locker into the top and bottom half (Half your books for the first few classes in one side and the other half on the bottom~)
Remember you’re going to have these teachers for the next like 4 years so make sure to be nice to them. It’s VERY IMPORTANT to be nice to your teachers, they take note of this and often times are willing to help you out, like bumping up your grade if you’ve aaaalmost got that B or A and you’re so close.
As for friends, they’ll come, you’ll figure it out. It will be okay. If you don’t have the same friends from middle school you’ll make new ones.
You are going to fight with your friends all throughout highschool. People are going to change drastically, some of your close friends are going to turn out to be assholes. Don’t do any dumb shit. Don’t get into drugs, or vandalize the school, or bully people.
Seriously, if you see someone who doesn’t look like they’re making friends well be their friend. Teachers can’t help as much as they want. It’s up to you to not be a dick to others.
//cough But for the first day just relax, keep all your syllabus, it’s very important and most teachers will go by it. Do your readings and homework.
