I got so tired of teammates doing nothing but sitting on my turrets during railjack that I swapped out my side turrets for the default apocs so that they would get off and actually do something useful

I'm a new player (finished second dream with rank 30 volt sunday) and just crafted limbo. It's my only warframe aside from volt. Is there anything to keep in mind about Limbo or anything that helps while using them?

Oooooh this is a fun one!

First of all, Limbo’s passive is his most powerful ability. It grants you pseudo-invincibility at the drop of a hat and costs no energy. Use it and abuse it!

I highly recommend weapons with high burst dps so that you can pop out of the rift, deal the damage you need, then pop back in.

Obviously, leveling is going to be a pain, but once you’ve leveled him, use him solo and in missions where killing is not required (ie spy, rescue, interception, and mobile defense).

Nullifiers are your worst enemy with Limbo. They will pop your cataclysm if they touch the edge and they will take you out of the rift. Kill them with extreme prejudice.

Avoid using banish on enemies and other players. Use only on NPC allies that need protection (sortie defense operatives and rescue targets)

Likewise, avoid using rift surge in multiplayer. It will lock enemies in the rift and your allies won’t be able to kill anything (and complain)

I have 3 mod setups for Limbo. My “Map Dominator” setup mods for max range and high duration (no narrow minded). You don’t need too much efficiency but I opted to do so because I subsumed Revenant’s Reave ability to dash everywhere. You can also mod for negative range if you want to go into a corpus mission and defend against nullifiers.

My second setup is my “Loot” setup. Basically, you mod for max range and efficiency with little duration. Strength is optional here. Fit as many parkour mods as you can and boom! You can fly through missions spamming Cataclysm to open a ton of crates at the same time. I subsumed pull because I’m extra lazy.

My last setup is my “Killer Limbo” setup that abuses Wisp’s Breach Surge ability combo’d with Limbo’s Rift Torrent augment. Mod for high range and moderately high strength, high duration and some efficiency. Basically, you put a bunch of enemies in the rift with Cataclysm while stasis is active, Rift Surge them to build up a ridiculous damage buff, then Breach Surge to Prime the enemies to emit particles (that are affected by the aforementioned damage buff), then unleash hell with any weapon of choice (I recommend the amperex or atomos for a good lightshow)

i just wanna say that slurs don’t just “slip out” when they aren’t part of your everyday vocabulary. the worst thing ive ever had slip out at an inappropriate time was an “oh fuck” when i messed up in art class, because i don’t use violent slurs that i have no right to say.

just remember that the next time your friend, or some youtuber, yells out a racist slur when he gets beat at a video game. it’s not the kind of thing that comes out by accident when you never use it usually.

The Frames I Hate the Most

Ok real talk? I hate bricks.

What are bricks you ask? Bricks are players on your team that sit there and do nothing significant over the course of the entire mission.

Theoretically, in a game like Warframe, where there are over 40+ playable characters with 4 powers each, there shouldn’t be ANY bricks whatsoever, and yet there are frames that people play just because they survive and nothing else.

Now, a frame can be immortal and still provide useful utility for the team. That is not what I’m talking about here. I’m talking about the ones that literally do nothing.

The WORST offender is Inaros. Many people play him just for his ridiculous health pool and that’s it. They hardly ever use any of his abilities, which by the way are tremendously useful in steel path. I have never once seen an Inaros on my team and thought highly of it.

Wukong, Rhino, and Nidus in my eyes are half-bricks, only because the players behind them usually know about the buffs they provide. In Wukong’s case, he does have a clone and some pretty decent damage up his sleeve. Their immortality requiring a little more effort is nothing that I mind at all.

So, about the new Helminth system...

I’m seeing a LOT of hype for certain abilities on the list, and for good reason. However, that’s not what this post is for. I want to cover some abilities that people may be sleeping on that are in fact transferable, so let’s get started.

First thing’s first: Limbo’s Banish! (Totally in character I know). Banish is still a really good ability provided you use it in the right context. It’s very useful for temporarily disabling enemies for a short time while also granting the ability to protect defense hostages and rescue targets! Obviously, don’t be obnoxious with it and banish everything in sight, but don’t forget it’s a very useful tool at your disposal!

Next, Revenant’s Reave. Reave is a very useful movement tool for any frame that doesn’t have one already and is modded with a little extra duration. It’s maneuverable mid-flight, cancelable, and it even replenishes shields as a bonus! Recommended to use on Limbo, Gara, Ivara, and any frame with high duration.

Next, Banshee’s Savage Silence. This one is rather niche since only a few frames can really take advantage of this, but when using the augment, certain frames will be able to do unholy amounts of damage. This is because slash damage ticks are actually finisher damage, so increasing those by 300% will be insane. Recommended use on Ash, Gara, and Garuda (assuming you don’t have wisp for Garuda, and I’d actually use Radiant Finish there)

Next, Hildryn’s Shield Pillage. Have a frame that has issues with armor? Well worry no more! Enemy defenses will crumble leaving behind their fleshy behinds for you to mow through like a hot knife through butter!

Next, Titania’s Spellbind! Have a tank that for some reason or another is not totally immune to status effects? Slap this on somewhere and you’ll never have to worry about a single status proc ever again! Recommended use on Chroma.

Finally, speaking of Chroma, Elemental Ward. This is a Swiss Army knife of a power that can be tuned and adjusted to what your frame needs. Need more damage and health? Fire! Need more Shields? Electric! Need more Armor? Ice! Need more reload speed? Toxin! It’s a power that has a multitude of uses for quite a few frames. Recommended use on any frame with a DPS ability, Harrow, Hildryn, and Titania
