Shout out to my Arabic teacher that looked at us yesterday mid-lesson and said, “I’m worried. You all look exhausted and depressed.”

Of course we were all like, “Oh yeah we’re dead inside, you haven’t noticed?”

And he snapped shut the textbook, threw up his hands and said, “That’s not healthy! No more vocab! Time for dancing!”

And he taught us a dance from Iraq and we danced instead of doing vocab. We didn’t stop dancing until he saw all of us laughing and was satisfied that we were all feeling better. It was perhaps the coolest, most kind-hearted thing I’ve ever seen a college instructor do.

So... I was musing over the conversations that need to happen in the next DnD session and then randomly remembered that my sorceress speaks with a different dialect of common due to being a far traveler... then this happened

OK, I thought about keeping my peace, but I gotta say it. If you criticize Zel and Amelia and Lina and Gourry for their creepy age differences, which honestly in the Middle Ages would not be remarked on at all, but you slip that you ship Xellos with Lina…dude, Xellos is over 1000 years old! He’s way too old to date any human!

There’s also the fact that Xellos is a straight up sadistic sociopath. Lol. Look, I love Xellos. He’s one of my all time favorite characters but he’s about as “good” as Hannibal Lector. Sure he might SEEM nice but just because someone is charismatic doesn’t mean they’re a kind or good person. Just saying. ;)

I like Xellos, too, and I like to respect the fact that he is a Mazoku, NOT a human and he would betray them and make an awesome adversary if the situation ever suited him. I just don’t see him falling in love with anyone and see that as a betrayal of his character. But definitely, sociopaths tends to be extremely charismatic.

I usually don’t say as much because the one time I quoted Lina in the novels as describing him as a sociopath I nearly brought the hordes upon me (though in fairness I found later that translation was not quite accurate, but with the information I had at the time it was Lina’s description of him, not mine), but yeah. OK, going to go and hide now.

Lol. Bring on the hordes. Honestly, though, anyone in this fan base who actually knows me, knows that me saying he's a sociopath isn't a knock at his character. They make some of the best surgeons. Just maybe not the best choice of person to go to for emotional support. Lol.

But seriously, yeah, he's a Mazoku. Not a human being. I have no problem with ships including him but my biggest beef is that they often change his very nature to fit into their fluff.

So, I have never drawn half plate armor before and while I'm still plugging along at this attempt to showcase our D&D party's most shiny boi (Paladin. All Paladins are shiny bois), my brain has been internally screaming the whole time in frustration because I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IM DOING. So... uuuh... a lot of shenaniganery has happened along the way... including salad armor. It is quite effective against most smol children.

So... I've been drawing all my DnD party, got to our paladin, Nolan Rowanarch, and started getting frustrated because I've never drawn half plate armor before. Whelp, one odd conversation with Nolan's creator and shenaniganery ensued. Next thing I knew I had sketched Nolan in a Sailor Moon spinoff outfit. I couldn't very well let Nolan suffer alone, so I drew a very embarrassed Meav in a Sailor Scout outfit that has a sort of Slayers flair to it (because why not). So now, without further ado.....

"Fighting injustice by Dusk light. Finding Relics by moonlight. Never running from a doomed fight. He is the one called Sailor Helm."* And, of course, unwillingly fighting along side him, is the adorable and angry tsundere, Sailor Chaos!
