Crick Cabana Reno

For some reason this lot is always my go to when I open the game and start a new neighborhood or developing a Sims skills.  

Meet Noah Jensen.  Noah feels that it is time to put down some roots and establish a home especially since he spent the last few years traveling trying to 'find himself'. He has moved to Willow Creek hoping to find inspiration from the beauty around him for his next masterpiece.  Although he keeps getting distracted by some other beauties in the neighborhood. 

Tier 2 Tiny Home that is surprisingly full with all of a Sims needs (as well as a couple masterpiece paintings or 2)

Streamlet Single Reno

Married couple Linnea and Maja Erikkson are nearing retirement and have decided to chase their dreams and finally open up their own shop.  They've been saving like crazy, honing their crafts and are ready to take the plunge into retail. Will their custom furniture store be a hit or a miss?

Bargain Bend Build

This lot stood completely empty so this build was from scratch and is in the Foundry Cove neighborhood in Willow Creek. 

This home has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with lots of landscaping around the entire home.  I moved the BFF Household into this lot and did up each of their bedrooms to fit their personality.  The common areas are cluttered and homey with older furniture.

BFF Household Makeover

The 3 roommate friends each got a complete makeover, new storyline, and house!

Summer and Liberty both got tired of competing with each other over Travis’s attention and have each found romance with new partners.  Summer met her new boyfriend at the local gym whereas Liberty fell fast and hard for the neighborhood playboy (who ended up breaking her heart). Will Travis finally act on his feelings for Liberty or will he just stay the friend and be a shoulder for her to cry on?

Summer Holiday: kept her in the blue family of clothes like in the original but gave her a much needed update especially with softening up her makeup. Since Summer has the Active trait I wanted to put her in clothes that would show off her physique

Liberty Lee:  Sweet, geeky Liberty.  She’s not much of a fashionista and would rather go for comfort over style.  She needed glasses and better hair so voila! Like Summer, I kept her in a similar palette as her original clothes

Travis Scott: he became a ginger and got a nose job.  Like Liberty he goes for comfort over fashion.

Willow Creek Archive Reno

Last stop in Crawdad Corner is the newly remodeled Library.  This lot can also be played as a coffee shop or retail space.

This lot took me several days to build just because I had so many ideas and wanted to put them all in this lot.  

Like all of the other commercial lots in this neighborhood it is 2 inter-connected buildings (technically 3 with the cafe in the back).

When you head upstairs you will find a large research archive

Movers & Shakers Renovation

Willow Creek’s gym got a much needed facelift!  Keeping with the New Orleans vibe the remodeled space features a smoothie bar, yoga studio, gym, and sauna

Blue Velvet Renovation

Next stop on our tour of Crawdad Corner in Willow Creek is the Blue Velvet Nightclub.  Keeping with the New Orleans vibe, I turned the lot into a lounge. 3 inter-connected buildings.  The front building is a lounge where musicians can get on stage and perform. The back building is where the bar is.

Municipal Muses

This was the very first lot I did on my Willow Creek world renovation and I am happy to say that it is one of my favorites.  The garden area turned out just how I wanted it (after much trial and error with that bridge).  Here is the original lot for Municipal Muses:

I wanted to keep the general outline of the lot and building for the renovation. I thought of it like an old family estate by the water that was turned into a museum as the city grew around it.  The garden for the house was taken over and maintained by the city as a little park.  I rotated the building so that it was facing the other sidewalk/street and updated the front of it as well. I also built another building next to it to create a photography studio.  

I designed this lot (and the other commercial lots in Willow Creek) so that they all looked like they belonged on the same street. Since this was the first build, it really helped give the whole area direction.   Here is the street view of Crawdad Corner, where I was going for a Bourbon Street design.

Now onto the garden...that bridge was a beast to get right. Sims can walk across it with no problem at all (success!!)  The water below it is a fully functioning pool that your Sims can swim in.   

The museum has most of the displays upstairs.  My thought process when putting the displays together was that the curator wanted to feature the family and was putting their belongings with the family pictures to show a life of.  Gave me a fun chance to use furniture and decor that I normally don’t use.  

The photography studio was my add-on to give something extra for Sims to do on the lot.  Personally, I find the game play with museums to be a bit boring (personal opinion) so the photography studio is just an extra for gameplay.

Willow Creek Remodel

I have been hard at work remodeling the entire Willow Creek world in Sims 4 and the builds are finally done!  The world is inspired by Southern architecture with heavy New Orleans and Charleston influences.  I had so much fun rebuilding this world and trying to make each lot unique but keeping to the neighborhood vibe and world aesthetic. 

Foundry Cove - single level Shotgun style homes with a Garden Center in the neighborhood

Courtyard Lane - Charleston style homes perfect for families with the Willow Creek Church and graveyard in the neighborhood

Pendula View - Second Empire architecture with a neighborhood restaurant

Sage Estates - Large plantation style homes 

Crawdad Corner - this was my favorite section to rebuild!  I kept all of the commercial lots the same but gave them each some major updates.  

As I finish a lot and story, they get added to the Gallery.  All of my downloads are under linzy615.

First Post!

Since April when I was furloughed (thanks COVID) I have rediscovered my love of The Sims and have been rebuilding and creating new storylines for the game.  It has helped me so much in giving me something to look forward to each day and allowed me to stay creative since I’ve been stuck at home for months.  This is where I will be sharing my builds and story lines.  The lots and houses are available on the exchange under my username linzy615.
