A new option for anyone with a veeeeery long doc or complicated outline (and no desire to look at all of it at once) -
Collapsible headers!
Turn them on in your Editor settings (Toggle headings), then click / tap the arrow beside any H1–H4 header to tuck that section away, safe and sound.
When you create a new header, just hit Enter, and it’ll become collapsible too.
Collapsible headers work in both the editor and on Reader links, so you can use them while writing, outlining, and editing; or to help your readers stay focused on one section at a time. We particularly love them for temporarily pretending the previous 86,491 words in a doc don’t exist (at least, not until the editing phase). 🙂↔️
Free for all, woohoo!
And another smol but mighty update this week: You can now change the email address associated with your account directly from your Settings page.
Just enter the new address via Change email under Account details. Done n' done!

I'm instituting a new policy of "if I can't easily read your crusty scanned PDF then I'm sending it back to you, telling you to get your shit together and save your .docx as .pdf, and causing snakes to manifest inside your house"
this but also if you are in accounting and you have an Excel file please do not save it as a PDF or take a screenshot of it and then paste it into another Excel file
I take it back whatever you have going on is way worse than what I was dealing with holy shit
@thesummoningdark hello?????
yeah no this is a real thing an actual human being said to me
Good afternoon to everyone in the notes having a horrible time! Y'all are fighting demons I never knew existed!! I think every person that makes you do stupid time wasting shit like this because they refuse to learn basic computer literacy should be fired!!
@redsesame
*sidles up to you at the bar* would you like to hear my wise aphorism
only if it's actually wise. the last guy who asked me this had a pretty foolish aphorism tbh
oh… uhuh… *really should have prepared this ahead of time* never ignore… the melody of time… when your shoe’s untied?
*considers this aphorism sagely, sipping my horrible and bitter potion*
yes. there is wisdom in this. he whose shoes are untied must carefully mind the rhythm of his steps. bartender, another Wretched Potion, for my comrade here
*to self* holy shit… my aphorism… it’s wise!
I were inspired
Well damn. I had NO idea that yesterday's post about a decommissioned nuclear power plant would be so popular, so I just fully overhauled the original article with high res versions of the old pics, and added in dozens more I forgot I had on file.
Enjoy!
Driving on Route-25a through East Shoreham, you’d never guess there was anything unusual about the gated road heading off toward the coast.
ID: A youtube comment with 11 likes by Niceone, it says "I've lived 46 years without knowing this. How nice of life to save some of the best bites for later." End ID.
Normally, people tend to get frustrated, even jokingly, if they miss out on something. This comment was on a song from 1974 and it made me smile quite much. Simply appreciative. Like a dessert after dinner.
It is genuinely mind blowing to me just how many Tumblr posts have changed my life for the better and taught me to be happier. Not all of the thoughts originate on Tumblr, but the way people collect and frame them has literally changed my brain chemistry.
If this is for real, it's gonna be FAB
Per @tyranicus.net at Bluesky: "Here's a leaked photo of the upcoming Lego Star Trek TOS bridge set coming in September. "
Happy pride.
Pattern: Hello Tourist by Wondrlanding. I used Woolstok Worsted in 10 colors for the main color, plus the white for the contrast color.
OP: "Grandpa made this for Dad when he was a child, and now it's been passed down to my son."
As pointed out in the comments on Douyin, a lot of thought went into the engineering: oval wheels slow it down, the frame is close to the ground and the handle is angled to prevent it from tipping over, the wood pieces on the back wheels lock it from moving in reverse, and the knocking sounds serve more than one purpose, both attracting the attention of the child as well as allowing the adults to easily hear the speed and location of the child.
A cautionary tale about the growing literacy crisis
Okay so summer is the time to tell ghost stories in Japan which is why so many summer episodes of anime have ghosts in them and even why My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away takes place during summer. And coincidentally it’s also the original spooky season in my own country, Denmark, where we have Sankt Hans in June which is said to be the best time of year to do magic and communicate with the dead.
We all know Halloween by now which takes place during autumn and is said to when the veil between life and death is the thinnest.
In Britain winter, especially Christmas time, is considered spooky and a time for ghost stories which is why British shows always have a spooky Christmas episode and why A Christmas Carol has ghosts in it.
What I’m getting at is, is spring considered a spooky time of year anywhere in the world? You must understand, I need every season to be their own flavor of spooky.
This Barbie was sent to space to save the world
Finally got the chance to get some photos of my Project Hail Mary/Barbie jumpsuit, with some real rockets!
if you're a pixel artist and never tried working with a reasonably accurate CRT filter I HIGHLY recommend it
this duck LOVES pink drink
Her just pouring the puree straight over the duck's head because she knows there's no getting that duck out of the cup is killing me
