Hi, my name is Nastya and this is my #meettheartist in Ukrainian realities. I spent several days instead of several hours to draw this picture, because russia is waging a g*noc*dal war against us and due to shelling of our energy infrastructure, we have no electricity for 8-17 hours a day. ⠀ I often hear foreigners say that they are tired of information about our war, that this information makes them feel worse, but this is literally how we live every day: every day the russians drop a bunch of missiles and drones on our cities, which take thousands of innocent lives, every day they try to create humanitarian disasters for us (and they succeed), every day they k*ll or steal our children, they are engaged in forced deportations of our people in the occupied territories, every day our soldiers, like my dad, try to fight despite the overwhelming number of people and weapons of our enemy. ⠀ But despite all this horror, we are trying to live, work, help each other, and not lose hope. So please, don't ignore us, help us, order drawings from our artists, and don't let this war come to your home.

I rarely draw with traditional art materials and and I've never had enough concentration to fill my sketchbooks with drawings fully (my maximum is half a filled sketchbook). ⠀ But I've been attending drawing sessions with @/na_prorizniy for a while now and seeing great progress in making quick sketches (I don't want to show my first attempts because they didn't turn out very aesthetically pleasing and the lines didn't look as confident as now 😅). ⠀ Organizers who create these drawing events every weekend always put on some incredibly and fabulous productions with wonderful models, creating a magical atmosphere in which I can forget for a few hours that ruzzians are trying to destroy my country and all of us every day, except when we are distracted by notifications about the danger of missile attack.
