hm... it might be a good idea to give Seventeen a phone, now that he thinks about it . Datura wonders what of laikas belongings were left intact or.. here. He got his own dex from laika after all... not a very fancy one mostly just to keep in contact with others and to have access to the blog. ... And a phone actually though the dex itself can make calls. Maybe now would be a good time to teach them how to use the phone...? He pointed to the phone. "... This lets you talk with many in the world... all over the multiverse even."

“How does it work…? And why?” Seventeen asked, furrowing whatever their equivalent to eyebrow muscles were “There’s no cords? How is it not dead…? How is the electricity staying in? I have electric type attacks!”

Well.. thankfully years of skimming the minds of scientists and especially Laika for over a decade he was somewhat equipped to answer this. "well.. there is a cord it just does not need it all the time. .." He flicks his wrist. a charger lifted by Telekinesis goes into the charging port. He figures learning by example would be the best in this particular situation "this is how the electricity gets into it. It charges the phone then keeps the electricity in until there is no more." He took his Dex out placing it in seventeens hands. Another older gift from laika. Might be good to give seventeen... Plus it could help them identify pokemon in the region....?

“Does that mean it has a really big battery?” Seventeen pondered… It wouldn’t be able to fit a 17 volt… But if it was mostly battery inside maybe it could last a few hours…?”

Seventeen turned the dex over a few times… It kind of looked like a phone too? “Whats the difference between this one and your other one?”

He stood up from where he was sitting, then walked in front of seventeen "Scan me... it can identify any pokemon in the region and will tell you facts about them..... “Oooooh okay! Sure! Maybe it has me too? That’d be really cool!” Seventeen held it up, clicking on the button to scan mewtwo- if this worked they’d be able to identify alllll the birds and bugs in the garden! And maybe the fish in the pond too if it was waterproof? They’d have to ask about that, unless Mewtwo was listening right now! Hi!!!!!

The dex would spring to life. Now reading out < Mewtwo is a Pokémon that was created by genetic manipulation. However, even though the scientific power of humans created this Pokémon’s body, they failed to endow Mewtwo with a compassionate heart. > Mewtwo would translate what It said for Seventeen the best he could "that is basically it.. But do keep in mind some entries such as mine are warped . " He thought about whether Laika had informed him of the pokedex's waterproof capabilities. He remembers something about many dexs in Unova being waterproof due to the rain some areas get... "Yes I do believe that one is water proof... " some firmware to translate the system language into Seventeens native language may be in order..

“Oh! I’m good at blowing things up too? But I wouldn’t blow up my doctors, more of them are nice than bad? Besides the short nice man couldn’t visit if the facility is gone… Talking about that, since we’re over here for now how is he going to visit this month? That sounds complicated!” Seventeen trailed off, tail drooping a little before they sprang back inti their usual cheerful tone “MAYBE I CAN TRY TO MAKE MY OWN ENTRIES FOR ALLLLLLLL THE POKEMON I MEET! AND MAKE MY OWN BETTER POKÉDEX! THAT’D BE SO COOL!”

Datura flinched... visibly so ... he was so caught up in making sure seventeen was comfortable he forgot that conversation would need to happen at some point. That seventeen.. despite being conditioned to feel pain as discipline and care he would need to slowly accustom him to learning what happened to him was wrong No child should be physically beat or abused for the slightest wrongdoing No child should view every interaction as a 'test' of their abilities ".... coming here.... will not happen for him I am deeply sorry"

He stood up from where he was sitting, then walked in front of seventeen "Scan me... it can identify any pokemon in the region and will tell you facts about them..... " He had long since stopped caring about the.. rather harsh nature of most his entries. Plus he doubts seventeen would be very phased anyhow.

hm... it might be a good idea to give Seventeen a phone, now that he thinks about it . Datura wonders what of laikas belongings were left intact or.. here. He got his own dex from laika after all... not a very fancy one mostly just to keep in contact with others and to have access to the blog. ... And a phone actually though the dex itself can make calls. Maybe now would be a good time to teach them how to use the phone...? He pointed to the phone. "... This lets you talk with many in the world... all over the multiverse even."
