one thing i like about the pjo show is how they address the term "special" and how it impacts percy's reaction to being told he's a demigod. like imagine your whole life you've been told you're special you're amazing you're different to make up for the fact that you don't fit in and it's just so condescending all the time, and he's seriously telling the one person he trusts that he thinks something is actually wrong with him.... she pulls the same thing

This meme is tongue in cheek, but this too is part of class warfare. In this case, keeping the law too complex for non-experts to even begin to have a chance to understand it means that only those who can afford to hire experts can protect themselves adequately and engage in ventures and activities that don’t directly relate to subsistence.

This is a photo of an english girl who is on vacation in Norway. This particular photo is from the archive of the Archer family. During the late 1800s and the early 1900s going to Norway on vacation was popular among upper class europeans. They came to walk in the mountains or travel on ships in the fjords or, as was especially popular among the english, came to fish in the rivers. The english often brought their entire households including servants on their fishing trips.
When it comes to the historical accuracy of our posts: we use the national photo archives of Norway and I have a masters in nowegian history. You should of course always be sceptical to what you see online but we do have links to the archives we use on our page so you can check for yourself (and also personally I don’t think the idea of an english person in Norway is some sort of crazy concept but whatever).
