Cool move. The Berlin government bought 200.000 protective masks from China for Berlin hospitals and the police (like in already paid!) and they were on their way to Germany.
Until the USA confiscated them in Bangkok and redirected them to the USA. Nice.
Apparently the same has happened to the French government.
That are absolutely asshole moves. Especially as that inflates prices and there are countries that stand no chance in a bidding war. Nice one. Really nice.
I saw about it in the French newspapers and I am absolutely livid about it.
Yes, it happened zu the French first and then to us. Sources say that the Americans are known to go on the airfield and to buy the protective gear and the mask for the double or tripple price.
If you want to hear something really wild, the American federal government is also doing this to the states. The states OF AMERICA. They stole masks from the state of Massachusetts and the state of New York- American states, part of America- and when I say that, understand that this happened AFTER the president said the individual states had to pay for the masks on their own without help from the federal government. So they did, and then the federal government STOLE THEM.Ā
It got so bad that Massachusetts asked the New England Patriots (a FOOTBALL team) to sneak over to China in their private plane and sneak the masks Massachusetts had bought into the country so the federal government wouldnāt know they were on the way, and steal them again. I donāt know what sports is like in most other countries of the world but imagine one of the professional sports teams based in your region had to become spies to get you medical supplies. Yeah.
