Everything you want is on the other side of fear ⨠(at INEC Killarney)
Now is not the time to give up
The Olympics have only been going on for a few days now and Iāve already heard of so many athletes who are 30+.
If they can compete at the Olympic level at over 30 years old then you can keep dancing and competing for however long you want.
Age didnāt stop them from pursuing their dreams. Donāt let something trivial stop you from going after your goals.
A 24 year old snowboarder (Mark McMorris) just got a bronze medal yesterday after almost dying in an accident less than a year ago and taking months off to recover. And yesterday not only did he snowboard at the Olympics again, he kept his bronze medal placement from 2014.
Youāre capable of more than you know and you will accomplish more than you ever thought you could if you donāt give up.
Donāt let your injuries tell you to retire. Take the time needed to recover, do the exercises and physio to recuperate and come back when your body is ready.
Going off to college? That doesnāt mean youāll never dance again. You can dance through or come back to it after you graduate. There is no deadline, dance for as long as you can.
Just started working full time? Take time to adjust to that schedule and then come back when youāre ready.
Donāt let life stop you from going after your passion. Yes, it might be harder now than in high school. Yes, it will take sacrifice. But you get to decide what youāre going to do with your life. Donāt give circumstances the power to tell you what to do.
Pursue your dreams! Chase them! Live them out.

2017 WORLDS QUALIFIER OMGGG
Iām still on a high from it all! This year has been full of great experiences and crazy results (in a good way)! However there have also been times that were disappointing and frustrating. All of this, both the good and the bad, have lead me to exactly where I am today!
To think that before the 2014 oireachtas I was still trying to get out of novice in my treble jig! And even last year I got dead last at NANs and 35th at oireachtas. This year, I placed 36th at NANs and 9th at oireachtas, as well as qualifying! Over the years Iāve learned that you get what you put in. It may take a while, but one day itāll come!
Iām so grateful for my Lavin Cassidy family for all of their dedication and support. ā¤ļø
Awww love this!! congrats again abby šā¤ļøšŖš¼
And that's a wrap!! Oireachtas 2017 ā¤ļø So happy to have qualified for Worlds and placed a personal best of 13th in the Mid America region, even though I was disappointed with how I danced. Excited to work even harder for Glasgow šŖš¼š

I have 2 Oireachtas moods:
Confident AF and sure Iām gonna win the whole thing
Andā¦
Utter blinding panic
Also, do you think stamina can be improved in a couple weeks? I've been injured and am worried about my stamina for the O! On a side note, what kinds of conditioning do you do?
I think it can be improved but probably not up to your best which would take about 3 weeks for me. Itās takes me more time to be consistent with my rounds every day.
I do stamina workouts about 3-4 days per week which Include whatever horrible things my mind can come up with including multiple fulls, fulls with extra steps, etc. I also like to jump rope especially if I am injured! For the majors not in the winter (worlds, nans) I will run/do sprints as well!
While I like to cross train, for me the best way to improve my stamina is just to dance. Fulls as often as a can and going full out every time even if I am only doing one step. Also, donāt forget sleep and water intake can drastically effect your stamina! Hope this helps and good luck!
How you can tell Iām in full Oireachtas mode: my set is my alarm
