So, over the past few years I’ve come to the realisation that experiencing what it is like to be in a fandom and witnessing dramas over dramas about fictional stuff is really not my cup of tea and I prefer to stick with just reading ff and not venturing myself beyond that. Still, this I’ve learnt has nothing to do with the ASOIAF fandom since i’ve had the time of my life in here, and I just disappeared cause life was changing and so was I and I kind of got into other stuff. But sometimes I remember how life was back here and I honestly miss you all.

I’m not back and I don’t know why I’m posting this cause I don’t even know if im ever going to write in this blog again after this. I just hope you all are doing just fine.

I stared writing here when I was 17 and was fucking underage, now I’m 22 and still single as fuck but I feel a lot more mature about a lot of stuff. I just wanted to tell to the people I used to talk with in here that you all have meant a lot to me and still do. And idk I just wish you all the best❤️

Do you think Robb reflected at one point in his life that Theon was a hostage, or did he start thinking about it more until he decided to send Theon to the Iron Islands?

From how I see it, Theon has always known that being taken away from his home wasn’t “for his own good” and that “ward” is basically a synonym of hostage, and he’s always made it clear that he doesn’t like the Starks, to the point even Bran and Rickon know that. Therefore I think that Robb didn’t even have to reflect on that, cause if he and Theon are always together (they grew up together after all) then he already knows Theon’s condition very well. I actually think he’s so aware of it and sorry for it that the moment he has the chance to send him back home, he lets him go.

I think he’s always been fully aware that Theon was an hostage, cause he grew up with him and as I said, Theon’s dislike towards the Starks is obvious and he’s probably let Robb know that. Still, Robb seems to be the first and only one to consider Theon being a hostage as a negative thing.

You know, now I'm wondering if Robb would have had conflicted feelings about what his father had done to Theon. Because if both Rickon and Bran knew what Theon disliked about the Starks, and Robb and Theon did get to talk about it, even if it was just a little bit, that makes it even sadder, what Robb told Theon after Bran's incident with the wildlings. How, Theon told Robb about his family, Robb knew about Euron, maybe even told him about his mother, and I couldn't imagine Theon's pain, seeing that the one person he dared to be vulnerable with, treated him how everyone else had treated him since he was a child. It's so sad.

Exactly! I’m sure he did have conflicted feelings about Ned. Overall it’s both beautiful and heartbreaking how Robb and Theon managed to become best friends despite one being a hostage and the other being the hostage-taker’s kid. I mean, I guess that’s why Robb trusted Theon so much, cause they’d become friends despite all odds.
