Because we got time to fix all of our developed photos, I found this photo. I didn't know this existed. When I was born, I was sick with hyperthyroidism which I got from my mom. Our relatives and friends thought I wasn't going to live long because I was very skinny and had big eyes(that's why my eyes were puffy in the photo) and I weighed 2.2pounds only. They even had me in and out of the hospital for a year for the treatment. Seeing this photo, I can really feel the love of our grandparents for us, not only because we are sick but we, grandchildren are precious gifts from God to them, that as they grow old we could give back the love and care they showered us. Happy Birthday in heaven Lolo! It's been a year, but we still miss you so much. Love you!

I miss being a kid. I remember the good old days when life was just simple. Tablets, smartphones and other gadgets didn't exist yet. Every summer my cousins and I would sleepover at our grandparents' house and we entertain ourselves by socializing with other kids in our neighborhood and play by the street. Classic games like patintero, langit at lupa, marco polo, chinese garter, step no/step yes, etc. would complete our day. We continue to play those games all covered in sweart until our parents would call us to go inside the house when the sky gets dark. . I also remember when we play "bahay-bahayan" we used to tie our blankets on the cabinet door handles to create a tent-like play place, we also lean the cushions against the wall diagonally to create an imaginary tunnel. Now the kids of this generation are all papmered with all kinds of gadgets and ready-made "bahay-bahayan". . When my nephews get tantrums because we won't allow them to use gadgets for a few hours, I used to say to them that they are lucky to have those things compared when we were the same age as theirs. But looking back, I would say that simple happiness like the good old days is still the best! #90skid #simplehappiness #thegoodolddays
