High School Students Learn by Building a Tiny House for The Homeless
Instead of building a shed like they usually do, students in Todd Faulhaber’s introduction to construction class at Madison La Follette High School this semester are going a little farther to learn basic building techniques. They’re also learning about homelessness by building a tiny house for Occupy Madison’s OM Build project.” – Pat Schneider for The Cap Times

Hi there. If we haven't met, my name is Mr. Money Mustache. I'm the freaky financial magician who retired along with a lovely wife at age 30 in order to start a family, as well as start living a gr...
This guy lives a sweet, frugal life. Wish I had happened upon this earlier.. Get going.
Slouchy tees for gym and bed and whatnot.
In a culture where being social and outgoing are prized above all else, it can be difficult, even shameful, to be an introvert. But, as Susan Cain argues in this passionate talk, introverts bring extraordinary talents and abilities to the world, and should be encouraged and celebrated.
Work wear. That is all.
"Hello," say the little succulents on my window sill.
Today I got handy and made an add-on to convert my desk at work into a standing desk.
My work only splurges on standing height desks for people with medical conditions. Not for people who've read about the dangers faced by us sedentary office workers sitting around all day.
In Auckland, I'd got around this by re-purposing a cabinet by my desk. However, the cabinets in our Wellington office are all too tall.
So, I made this chunky beast for $50 which will sit on top of my existing desk. Much cheaper than the standing desks that go for $1000 to $2000 (and up!).
I designed it so I can dismantle it and move it around if I need to.
Lemme know if you want the cheat sheet.
