It’s funny to me that with such a wide overlap of Star Trek and X Files mutuals I don’t recall seeing anyone point out that Mulder and Scully are a perfect example of t’hy’la.

Is their relationship dynamic platonic, professional, familial, romantic? Well, that changes (and overlaps) over time. And it’s not that it doesn’t matter. It’s just that it is such a distant second to how utterly and completely they are each other’s devoted Number One Person.
