I think that there is some sort of unspoken fairy godparent thing where you see this, realize that you forgot your meds, and rebagel it because if you forgot someone else must have. And in our turn we all take care of each other, even if we don’t know it.

Breakfast hadn’t prepared her for today’s events, nothing had actually. Marilyn had somehow managed to walk herself into one of the most dramatic, extra and tragic scenes of a typical Hollywood soap opera.  Her feet became part of the cement as her body stiffened at the display in front of  her, the boy who had just a month ago dropped on one knee and put his ring on her finger, was kissing Kate. It was the same person who had celebrated with Marilyn on her engagement a month ago. Although unlike every typical Hollywood soap opera, she laughed.
