MK and Red Son snuggling with their cubs
[It's only now that I realize I never mentioned Lihuas facemask/chest mark color. Hope you like this little story... that kinda hijacked the original prompt.]
It was a nice afternoon, Red Son and MK had set up a nest type lounger on the large on the large balcony that Mei once trained on.
MK had Mingxiao snuggled against him in his lap as MK read from a storybook that he and Macaque had made. (Yes they turned the Hero and the Warrior into a picture book for the kids.)
Red Son was gently moving a brush through Lihuas fur as she listened to the story. Her fur had gotten thicker with the most recent season change, and another shedding season. A good brushing was needed before snuggles sadly.
Lihuas fur looked a bit dirty, but they figured it was just her baby coloring starting to give way. Since she was bathed recently, and the Hideout wasn't dusty or dirty enough for her fur to look like this.
With a gently tug of the brush a chunk of white fur came away from Lihua, revealing a much darker patch of fur, it was definitely a shade of brown, but there was a line of dark reddish-pink right next to it. Red Son couldn't tell which was the mor prominent color of her coat just yet.
MK had finished the story, and was watching Red Son pull more little tufts of white fur to slowly reveal that Lihuas back was mostly the dark reddish pink color, and the brown seemed to line areas like the cuffs and lining of a jacket. With a bit of dark cream and grey showing up around her neck, tail, and face.
Lihuas' pinkish red face mask and chest marking definitely popped with the colors of her fur.
"Huh. I wonder where the pattern came from. Everyone in our families with fur don't have patterns." MK comments as Red Son got Lihua into a classic little bib type outfit, so that they can show her fur more in the pictures they sent to the Family Group chat.
Red Son gladly had Lihua snuggled against him as MK started to read off the different comments from the group chat. And how there was an argument over how to split the pot for bets of Lihuas' fur color.
