Get to know the face of local barista babe✨ a few facts about @cherrylane.png A.K.A me 1- My love for coffee started back on my home country venezuela🇻🇪 my grandma is a Spanish immigrant from Canary Islands and pretty much growing up in a really Spanish house coffee is a must 2- after living in venezuela I moved to miami at the age of 18 where I was introduced to the cuban coffee scene so my feelings for coffee kept growing 3- on 2017 I got my first coffee job on austin, Tx and I started to learn about specialty coffee 4- I love experimenting and I can drink my coffee In any presentation BUT... quite a lovely day

oh hey there. Sorry if I got lost on the last 2 days, I seriously needed some mental health days also Those two days were my last two days of school of the fall term, time sure flies when you study a lot lol. 

In other news today I paid a visit to jo’s cafe in downtown Austin. It was quite a lovely scene and they had killer fries, I also ordered a Oat milk cortado but I think their espresso was a little too acidic for my taste It really overpowered all the flavors and it tasted a little over-pulled but that’s story for another day (I really don’t like to spread negativity).

Today at work I took my time to experiment and find a new seasonal drink for halcyon, let me say that I hit the jackpot this time with my new signature Holiday bark latte, a subtle combination of Ginger bread and peppermint, my other option was called frosty matcha but that one is secret recipe .

My last day of school got me quite nostalgic, leafs were falling from the trees, the temperature was perfect, the day was sunny and of course i had coffee, overall it was lovely

My preferred method to drink coffee? Personally as a Barista I have had coffee in many ways, from drip to espresso to pour over. It always blows me away how coffee can be such a cultural thing and you can tell so much from people based on their order. Day 3:  easy tiger in my feelings

What’s up babes?

let me tell you that today I paid a visit to the new easy tiger location on the Linc, I’ll tell you a story about it. Easy tiger was my very first coffee job and it was a place where I made beautiful memories and got friends for life, everything i know about coffee i learned it there and It’s also where I met my friend cameron who got me my current job at halcyon. The new location is fresh and modern, the cut is really classy and the architecture is amazing. 

I ordered a oat milk cappuccino that was on the perfect temperature range and texture, really pleasant to drink, the oat milk gave it a nice kinda Cerealy taste. I Was a little emotional since the coffee brought a lot of memories back and It tasted just like If I had made it myself. It reminded me from when I used to work there and we were just trying oat milk brands. Overall It was a refreshing experience and it was really nice to see my old friends and coworkers, hope they can keep growing. I’m thankful about the things I learned here and looking forward for the future
