💍Standalone works

Copy Copy Copy - Alear convinces himself that it wasn’t the real Alear who came back from the dead. Against everyone’s advice, he tries to “fix” this. (My very first FE Engage fic!)

Frenzy - Marth calls Alear a defect while under Veyle’s control as a Dark Emblem. Lucina comes to Alear’s defense, in more way than one.

Dagger in a Thicket of Flowers ✨ - Rafal slowly bonds with Alear and Veyle as siblings.

[ 🎁 Notebook obtained. ] - Short or incomplete snippets taking place in a variety of universes or canons.

⚔️Alloy ‘verse

Alear has OSDD, and his alters do their best to help him through the war.

Alloy ✨ - A retelling of Engage as Alear fights Sombron's forces with extra helping hands, initially unknown to him.

Electrum - Snippets taking place within the Alloy ‘verse.

🐎Fatherhood of the Holy Knight ‘verse

Sigurd’s struggle and eventual acceptance of his fatherhood as an Emblem.

Decisions ✨ - After learning of his Fell origins, Alear flees from Elusia Castle. Sigurd convinces him to return. (Originally written as a standalone, but became a spiritual prequel to the series)

Dad Friend - Rosado calls Sigurd a dad friend, and Sigurd mulls over this new description of him.

Doting Sister - Camilla is very open with her elder sister doting, making Sigurd uncomfortable for some reason. They talk about it.

Starting Over ✨ - Following his return after the Second Fell Dragon War, Sigurd struggles with grieving all he has lost. Some of it is still within reach, though.

Picking Up ✨ - Sigurd is reunited with a son, and Alear finds a brother. Life settles down, for once.

Frozen in Time ✨ - Seliph and Sigurd grapple with the harsh reality of why the other looks so young as an Emblem. The other Emblems help.

There Really Is No Point in Cheating in Paint Tag, You Know - Corrin gets way too serious about paint tag. Ephraim suffers a laughing fit. Sigurd gets paint on his hand. (Not a plot-relevant entry, mainly a light-hearted aside taking place within the series)

Trip and Fall - Sigurd and Camilla accidentally discover an unexpected boon of corporeal Emblems. Seliph has an awkward talk with Takumi.

Flash of Light - The Emblem necklaces are reunited, but not everything is well.

Make Landfall - Alm, Lyon, and Takumi fall to pieces in silence. Seliph decides to take matters into his own hands, for better or worse.

Frozen Over - The past keeps coming back to haunt Sigurd, despite his best efforts.

🤚On Hold/Hiatus

These stories are on hiatus. I plan to go back and finish them, but no guarantees on when they'll update next

Nil Sub Sole Novum - Alear investigates a series of disappearances happening in Elusia near the ruins of the Mage Dragons' village. (Currently about halfway finished)

✨Divinity and Regency - Without his mother or the Emblems to guide him, Alear finds himself lost in the role of divinity as he tries to help Elusia and Brodia come to peace. He gets help from a celestial mentor he never expected. (About 80% finished)

Child of the Wind - Alear awakens after a thousand years of slumber, meeting his mother and the Emblems, the Divine Dragon Monarch's knights who protect Elyos. An alternative telling of Engage with various divergences and changes. (Very early in the story, plot-wise right before entering Brodia)

Might have accidentally put the dog in a House of Leaves scenario

There’s a new addition to the house with a hallway covered by a big black tarp. For now, we only use it to get to the backyard. The dog is terrified of the hallway and while I suspected it was because the hall is loud to her ears, I realized that from her perspective, a hole opened up in her home out of nowhere that is very loud and empty, doesn’t smell like the house or her family, is very dark at night, is very echoey, has unfamiliarly textured floor, and partially covered by a dark thing that makes a lot of noise when touched

She is literally experiencing the dog version of the Navidson Record

So as it turns out, modding the hell out of your fo4 install can break it but mine is so broken across updates AND a reinstall that I think it’s just haunted now

I’m missing several vanilla workshop items in the wood structure category. They’re just gone. I thought that maybe a mod had overwritten them but nope, they’re just gone. I have to use Homemaker’s version of the vanilla items

All of the typewriters and alarm clocks that spawn in the world are facing the wrong way

If I drop a Jangles from inventory, his head floats away and creates a gap between the helmet and neck. This fixes itself if I select Jangles in the settlement build menu, but breaks all over again if I pick him up and drop him

A unique hat only sold by a merchant in Far Harbor spawned in the backyard of the house in Sanctuary that has the armor and weapons workbenches. I haven’t even listened to the radio broadcast to start the dlc

More hauntings I noticed or remembered:

Every carton of cigarettes in the world space spawns vertically, causing most of them to clip through the surface they’re resting on

Teddy bears also spawn backwards, like the alarm clocks and typewriters mentioned above

Fast-traveling to Boston proper (excluding indoor world cells) takes so long to load that by the time it loads, the game is in the spinning third-person camera that starts if the game doesn’t detect any player inputs for a long time

Last but not least, all the Vault Boy edits for the credits! The Perk chart is such an iconic part of the game to me, so I thought it would be cute having each SoSu as one of the perks representing them. Thank you again to everyone who worked on this project!

Making a list of things I noticed replaying fo4. Or maybe some of this is just anniversary edition/next gen update stuff idk

Daisy had a husband before the war who died in the US-China war and she never found out the specifics of his death (other than he died) bc it was classified

I’m noticing wrong subtitles a lot more frequently that I expected/remembered. Usually the issue is the VA using a different preposition in the sentence than what’s written

The Goodneighbor watch guy who tells you about why they got suspicious about a guy being replaced mentions the guy cheating on his wife (and him not doing that being why they got suspicious) says “what am I gonna tell his mom?” which frankly is kind of funny

Nick comments on how you choose to handle the Triggermen who show up to look for Dino

Aluminum cans are actually visually distinguished from tin cans not just by color, but also shape! Aluminum cans are always bent, tin cans are undamaged

The game giving you access to smgs relatively early on is kind of funny bc once you pick one up there’s not much reason not to use anything else for a while. Until you get enough caps to buy Overseer’s Guardian, I guess

I really like the detail that one of the Vault 81 scientists was cremated and thus his locker coffin has a vase in it instead of a set of human bones

Tina has a Children of Atom tattoo on her forehead for some reason???? It can’t possibly be the result of modding since none of my mods should be doing that but I am baffled about how that could happen

I like that the music gets echo-y if you enter the VIP lounge in the Third Rail

When Whitechapel Charlie does his glass cleaning animations, he’ll swivel two of his “eye stalks” to check the glass before going back to the default three-direction configuration

I never realized that mirelurk eggs are literally worth 0 caps??? They’re useless as loot unless you cook with them. I like the idea that nobody wants them bc nobody can be sure if a mirelurk spawn might break out of it

There’s a LOT of mattresses lying around the gardens in Diamond City. Do people just sleep there? I’m surprised that Bethesda didn’t make like some inaccessible homes or a bunk house instead
