I think her fans lack respect for her when they abuse what she shows them by filtering photos to read the text, then spreading it around. So no. She is right to be really really angry that fandom would take advantage of her kindness.
Yeah, it isn’t Amanda who ruined things. It’s the fans who pissed her off.
Now I really want Mary off the show. Not even because I don’t like Mary. Its because Amanda has no respect for the fans, and doesn’t deserve to be on the show. :(
That’s a dumb thing to say. Actors don’t owe you shit except for a good performance.

Didn’t Martin literally say he hates fans who show up to watch Setlock or hate Amanda/Mary? How come nobody wants him off the show?
I never heard him say that, and saying you don’t want an audience while you perform is different then calling someone a cretin or an arse hole. I forgive Amanda but that doesn’t men I want to see her on the show anymore.
Maybe he didn’t call fans cretins or arseholes, but you have to consider that ‘fans’ have basically stolen part of the scripts and posted them online, then thrown tantrums and called her a horrible person when they were called out on it. If anyone else in the cast or the writers had insulted fans when defending their unpublished work, the entire fandom would have taken their side.
But because of this bizarre hatred of Amanda/Mary, her (very rightfully) calling people out for doing something borderline illegal is seen as her ‘disrespecting fandom’ and ‘not deserving to be on the show’. The fact is, she’s going to be on the show as long as the writers want her to be - you and the rest of us as a fandom don’t get to decide whether she ‘deserves’ to be in the show because however much you hate her or don’t want to see her, it won’t make a difference to the show. She’s Martin’s partner and she’s friends with the cast/writers, they’re never in a million years going to write her out just because a few people don’t like being told off for stealing private property.
OP never wanted her on the show in the first place, this is just an excuse. The leads can say all sorts of problematic shit and no one’s calling for them to be fired.
So, Amanda Abbington called Sherlock fans cretins and arseholes. So what? Martin Freeman compared Sherlock fans to Mark Chapman and I didn’t see any reaction from the fandom.. I’d rather be called an arsehole than to be compared to a “fan” who murdered his idol.
