Much like a bottle of Miette Shiraz, the context must sit in the dark recesses of Tumblr, sometimes for years, in order to develop true depth of hilarity, that not everyone has the palate to truly appreciate.

Interesting 1914 mansion in Chicago, IL has 6bds, 6ba, 25,000sqft, $21m.

This is huge. Look at the courtyard. In addition to the main residence there are 6 separate units that are rented. The buildings are on a 0.28 acre lot.

Enter the main hall.

Wow.

You go up the stairs to this hallway.

And, you'll find this huge sitting room.

This is the very large dining room. It has a terrace that overlooks the courtyard.

Guest powder room with burled wood storage cabinets.

Big commercial kitchen with asparagus printed on the cabinets.

The library has a pool table.

And, check out the elegant powder room.

Then, there are stairs to an upper floor.

It's an elegant bedroom floor.

The primary bedroom is beautiful.

But, look at the marble ensuite.

This bedroom has an Eastern flair.

Matching ensuite.

The bedrooms are amazing.

But, the ensuites are crazy. Look at the wavy shower.

This looks more like a lounge.

But look at this green bath. Love this.

I planted ten little pawpaw trees today

Pawpaws are a Michigan native fruit that looks like it should not be a Michigan native fruit.

I'm told that it has the consistency of avocado, but tastes like a combination of banana, pineapple, and mango, with and earthy aftertaste. They are EXTREMELY delicate fruits, such that they are not really shipped anywhere- to eat them you have to find someplace local that has trees, or have trees, yourself.

I've always wanted to try them, so, I bought a few saplings, and spent a couple hours tonight planting them. They won't fruit for another 5 years at least. Each hole dug, each rootball excavated from its pot, each circle of mulch around the base of them... that's hope. That's a promise to be here 5 years from now, to see them flower, to pull sweet fruit from the limbs and try it for the first time.

A lot can happen in 5 years. But, I hope that you'll be here, too, to see how it turns out.
