I love strawberries and it’s part two so so much but I don’t get why the marauders are so protective of the reader can you maybe answer me? I’m very very confused even though I love the stories. I’m confused on why they don’t want her going out with regulus.

hi! i’m glad you love the series! so sorry if i didn’t clarify this so let me explain the relationship between the marauders, reader, and regulus.

the marauders consider the reader, who is a year younger than them, to be a close friend and almost little sister, so they’re super protective over her (typical over-protective older brothers trope).

as for Regulus, his relationship with his parents means, in Sirius’s opinion, Regulus supports his parents’ beliefs. in this specific fic, although it might not be explicitly stated, Regulus doesn’t agree with what his parents believe in. since the marauders don’t know that, though, they want the reader as far away from regulus as possible because of what they think he believes in.

also might be worth noting that this takes place after Sirius ran away from home. Regulus has only stayed out of fear since he doesn’t think he’ll have anywhere to go given his damaged relationship with Sirius.
