This is a not super well made drop spindle, but hopefully well enough :3

When u r the type that prefer flitting between fibres to not be bored with only the same for ages, plus plying. Then there is a need of more spindles. Buuuut, I have budget and inconvenient country, also I'd prefer put money toward fibre rather than more spinning tools when I already technically had three, plus possibly a wheel if I can get it into working condition...

so, yeah

I tried make a few whorls the other week in polymer clay. I can't elever just how hard it was to have them even weight! X'D This was the most even one, and I went for repurposed cheap paint brush shaft, a hook from the curtain kit in the basement, and a little tape and paper because the hole was slightly wider than useful. I'll (probably) attach it proper in the future if I find it nice to spin.

29 grams, and works decent as of yet.

that's a great use of an old paintbrush! They're already an excellent shape for a splindle shaft! And you've made a lovely artistic whorl there, too!

It's easier to make a sculpted whorl a balanced weight if it's smaller and more condensed, like a large slightly flattened bead than a wide wheel. It will change the feel of your spinning a bit, a smaller whorl of the same weight completes its rotations faster than a wide disc, but it's very easy to adapt to.

regardless, you've made yourself some lovely and effective spinning tools! Be proud! Our ancestors also made the tools they spun with, out of whatever they had to work with. And they liked to make them pretty too! ;)

Been thinking about this for a while, but this is my head-cannon familial relations for the Sortas.

Sora, Xion, Ventus, Roxas and Vanitas are all siblings.

Xion and Ienzo are 'adopted siblings'- Vexen/Even created Xion, and I've always viewed him as a father figure for Zexion/Ienzo. Whether they call each other a sibling is something I think I'd like to explore a little more- even if it's tongue-and-cheek.

Namine and Kairi are sisters, with Roxas and Namine being half siblings. I debated putting them as full siblings, but ultimately decided that they should be half considering Namine's connection to Kairi.

A little secret, is that I also made this because I always forget that Xion is a Sora and not a Kairi.
