It's really a losing battle to try and argue with Tumblr staff if whoever's in charge now has decided they want to finally put Old Yeller down. You might be able to stop them this time, but if they no longer understand what made this website valuable, they'll wait for you to turn your back and happily grind you down into engagement monster food until you don't even notice your own acquiescence. Do you really want to beg them on your knees to reverse breaking changes forever? Something very similar to this just happened to LessWrong. We're probably fucked.
RIP Tumblr, you raised me. You helped me understand that people like me could be normal. Thanks for holding out as long as you did.
But like, most of all, thank you to the people. Y'all had the highest discourse standards maybe ever. You're like America having a reputation for being a shitty place to live, except if Europeans weren't jealous and actually just didn't care about being able to afford restaurant food. You will be missed. Painfully.
