S3 Steddie my beloveds đ
Dustin constantly nagging Steve that he needs to find love so he snaps and says fine. Iâll give you a challenge. Get me a date with my number one unattainable crush
He thinks great this wonât be hard who is it
âYour DMâ
âFuckâ
Robin's parents being wary of Steve but immediately welcoming Eddie in has Steve going, 'Wtf, Melissa. He was wanted for multiple murders two weeks ago.'
Steve is crying.
Eddie came home and Steve is crying.
Eddie was in the entry way and he can see Steve in the kitchen and heâs crying. Heâs facing away from Eddie, heating something up on the stove, and heâs crying. Eddie can hear him sniffling. He can see the way his shoulders move just slightly and a thousand thoughts rush through Eddieâs mind.
Robinâs hurt. No. Steve wouldnât be here if she was hurt. When she scraped her knee falling off of her bike, Steve was by her side all afternoon.
His parents called. It wouldnât make sense. Steve never left their phone number after their move.
Heâs failed a class. Again, wouldnât make sense. Steve was on top of his grades, making sure he wasnât forgetting any tests or projects. He was taking college seriously.
Eddieâs fucked up.
This is the only logical answer.
Eddie made Steve upset ⊠Just how?
This morningâs events ran through his head. Steve got up for a run, showered, woke Eddie up (fully) with some kisses. They messed around. Then Eddie went off to work.
Did he kiss Steve before he left?
Surely he did. Heâd never forget.
Did he forget to tell Steve he loved him? Never in a million years. He tells him that every time he leaves the room.
Did he forget an event?
Itâs not Steveâs birthday. Thatâs in the summer.
Itâs not their anniversary ⊠is it?
Shit.
Is it the anniversary when Steve first asked Eddie out?
Or the anniversary of the day when Eddie realized theyâve been dating (for two months!)?
Or the anniversary of moving in together?
Or the first time they said âI love youâ to each other?
Shit. Was it the first time theyâve fucked?
Somehow Steve keeps all these dates in his head and Eddie can barely keep track of them.
Whatever date it was: Eddie forgot to tell Steve happy anniversary this morning.
Shit.
He should get flowers.
He turned on his heel â his boots squeaking on the linoleum floor.
âOh, hi Eddie!â Steve greeted with a sniff.
Eddie turned to look at Steve and itâs worse than he thought. Steveâs eyes were so watery, a slight red. He had to been crying all day.
âI made supper,â Steve said. âShould be done here soon.â
âIâm so sorry, baby,â Eddie said, rushing over to Steve. He took Steveâs face in his hands, wiping away any loose tears. âIâm so sorry that I forgot.â
Steve furrowed his brow. âForgot what?â
âI ââ Eddie trailed off. He couldnât think of what made today so special. âI donât know what today is.â
âFriday?â Steve asked confused.
âNo, I mean, yes,â Eddie said. âI just meant â Iâm sorry. For whatever I did. I hate to see you cry.â
âThatâs not what you said last night,â Steve rolled his eyes, turning back to the meat sauce.
âI still need to bake the lasagna, so you have plenty of time to shower,â Steve sniffled, wiping at his eye. âWill you take the trash out? That onion is still killing me.â
âOnion?â Eddie asked, his eyes darted to the trash can.
âItâs so strong,â Steve laughed. âItâs been bothering me since I started.â
âOf course,â Eddie laughed. He gathered the trash and pressed a quick kiss to Steveâs cheek. âI love you.â
Eddie couldnât help but laugh as this day will forever be remembered as day he thought he fucked up.

Eddie was preparing his speech to the media about what an honor it was just to be nominated for the Best Actor award, because he sure as hell wasnât going to win and he knew Steve was doing the same. There were three genres shunned by the Oscars: fantasy, comedy, and horror.
They might get cinematographer or even editing, but they sure as hell wasnât going to win any of the top awards. They were nominated for all but Best Actress. In addition to Steveâs Best Supporting Actor; Brenda Roberts was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, Dustin was nominated for Best Adaption of a Screenplay, Robin for Best Director, and of course Best Feature Film.
But hell, winning one of the eight awards âDancing in the Darkâ was nominated for was asking for a miracle at this point. A lot, and Eddie did mean a lot of industry pundits were betting against them from winning anything.
So because he was absolutely going to lose, he decided to go avant-garde for his outfit tonight. A shimmering silver mesh peasant shirt unlaced, under a black motorcycle jacket and tucked into silk tuxedo pants. He wore matching silver shoes and lots and lots of bangles and baubles around his neck and wrists.

Eddie and Robin realizing that theyâve both been too busy with their teenage gay angst to learn how to kiss. And now theyâre in relationships and kind of screwed so. They unlock the final boss of mlm/wlw solidarity and agree to practice on each other
actually extremely pleased with todayâs writing progress lmao

To me, Steve Harrington loves naps. He loves napping anywhere he can. On the arm of the couch, on the couch, the floor, in a desk, in his bed, in his closet, wherever.
He curls up, crosses his arms on his chest, folds in his legs, and just sleeps. He snuffles and he snores and he mumbles. He drools a little. But he loves just disappearing during a party or something, and his friends find him later curled up and napping. He just gets so cozy.
Eddie loves laying with Steve, but he doesnât nap very often. He holds Steve, plays with his hair, runs his hands over Steveâs chest and belly. Loves to leave forehead kisses and read to Steve. Steveâs such a cuddlebug

Non Exhaustive List of things Eddie had to stop doing when he acquired a boyfriend and six children
âSleeping naked. Having to wrap himself in a sheet when Dustin showed up at his door once was enough
âLeaving skin mags laying around his room. That was an uncomfortable conversation with Max who knows no sense of personal space
âIn the same vein, leaving his drugs lying around. The last thing he needs is one of them getting high on his watch
âKeeping his car keys in a place thatâs easily guessed by children. He wonât elaborate
âCalling his guitar âhoneyâ and âsweetheartâ. Steve now has a blood feud with it
âGetting super high because you never know when a child is going to drop in and he doesnât want them to see him like that. He doesnât examine this impulse beyond âMax lives like ten feet away and I donât want her to have blackmail material on me because of the dumb shit I do when highâ
Once again thinking of Claudia being obsessed with setting Steve up with one of her coworkers or friend's kids or even distant relatives.
She's so relieved to have a trusted male figure in Dustin's life. She even kind of loves that he's so different from her son, because she was very aware of Dustin's growing tendency to see certain kinds of people as inferior. Plus, it showed him that he could be loved by anyone, even someone from a completely different social circle.
Plus, Steve is sweet. He'd dropped the "charm the parents" act pretty quickly once Dusty called him on it, but he was still sweet. He always helped clean up after dinner or carried in the groceries, griping at Dustin about manners. He got that look in his eyes every time she hugged her, too. The one that said he needed a parent.
So she wanted to make sure he stayed close. Make sure he found someone good, and Claudia approved.
Most of the time, he gently turned down the dates, but every now and then he would click with someone, and they would go out. Claudia always hoped they were the one, but it always ended after a short while. She hated how disappointed he always was afterward.
Then she meets a nice man named Wayne. They met at Melvalds, both of them chatting with Joyce until a customer came. They chat for a long while, and despite appearances, Wayne is an easy conversationalist.
They go to Benny's, ordering hot plates and talking about their lives. Maybe Wayne flirts a little and maybe Claudia doesn't hate that, but the important thing is that Wayne has a nephew. A nephew who he seems super proud of who plays guitar and likes nerdy stuff.
They plot to set them up together. Steve agrees after a little poking, still a little sore after the last one ended so quickly. Eddie agrees as well, ever trusting of his uncle's opinion.
They park across the street with Claudia's birding binoculars and watch the two fall in love.
Steve was already her son, but it wasn't long until Eddie joined the family in a more official capacity.
