Robin. her aesthetic’s three components is of a filthy rich widow of several tragically deceased husbands, of a funky cowboy rodeo gal, and of Trinity’s rebel biker look from Matrix. these may sound incompatible, but she keep a careful and perfect balance. her style is so dintsinct that she looks immediatly out of place in anything else.
Luffy. surfer boy. even when he has a coat on in the blizzard or a disguise to help him to merge in an island he looks like he’s one move away from reverting back to his surfer jorts-vest combo. the strawhat also helps to give off the same vibe.
Nami. Surfer girl, the uburban edition. she can and could dress up of she wishes do but she likes to keep it simple and minimal, giving the impression of being always ready to hop on a surfboard and humiliate the local lads with her skills. can’t hide the energy even if dressed up.
Chopper, being a reindeer he doesn’t really need clothing, for him it’s about wearing funky colors. why not wear something cheerful if someone is almost always dying anyway. it also matches the cotton candy and Robin too likes cute things
Sanji. has one(1) perfectly developed look, the smooth-elegant waiter one which he rocks perfectly, but will wear dad things like the skypiea Hawaii shirts if let loose. surprisingly bad taste when going outside his box. kinda adapts to his clothes, he plays up the smoothness if elegeant and lets himself to be comfy if wearing a sweater
Usopp. accidental hipster, in the sense that he does things before they are cool, or even really a thing. you look at that brown overall and go uh what the hell, but then it kinda growns on you and you see the light. simple and funky but somehow he makes it work. would wear a housecoat.
Franky. suburban dad. looks 3 seconds away from throwing a barabcue party at any given time. hawaii shirts all the way and pants are for the weak and the cowars.
Zoro. accidental fashion icon. claims that he doesn’t care and while that’s mostly true you can’t tell me he doesn’t knit those green haramakis himself and he knows his colors. He does do it for the function not the look though. rocks any riducoulas outfits thrown at him. That blue skypiea tanktop with the goggles? that Sabaody look? Iconic. he makes fresh scars and bleed-through bandages look like a fashion statement, you’re like sure, it’s kinda gross but you wish you could rock it like him. that bandana? he invented wearing bandana. the kinda guy who has at least 5 identical pieces of a clothing he likes. clothes adapt to him, not the other way around like in Sanji’s case, he looks the same whether he wears suit with a fake mustache or a yukata. he’s just infuriating.
Jinbei. sticks to what he knows, refined taste. he knows that the samurai aesthetic makes him look mature and reliable and uses this to gain an upper hand.
Brook. with admirable self reflection he realised that since he’s a talking skeleton he’ll look like a Halloween decoration anyway, so he fully embraced it. victorian ruffles all the way. acccidentally became a rockstar? he wears a boa now. obnoxious pattern with other obnoxious pattern. there are no rules nor god, there’s only Brook having the time of his (second) life.
