Ferox Chao (Sonic) - modelling clay

Hello! I'll admit work has distracted me, and haven't done another Kagurabachi figure. In the meanwhile, I worked on this figure as a little gift for the Sonic Chronicles Reimagined server.

Its a Ferox Chao, the luckiest Chao in Sonic Chronicles.

I had to improvised with what little references were available. The color of the wings come from issue 33 of IDW Sonic, drawn by Evan Stanley and colored by Reggie Graham.

Size comparison. He's bigger than your average Chao.

Montana Supreme Court Rules Its Constitution Entirely Protects Trans Citizens In Landmark Ruling

The ruling will have enormous impacts for transgender residents in the state.

"The Montana court separately declared that transgender people constitute a suspect class under the state's equal protection clause. In legal terms, a suspect class is a group that has historically faced such severe discrimination that any law targeting them must meet the highest level of judicial scrutiny to survive—the same standard applied to laws that discriminate on the basis of race. [...] The practical effect is sweeping: any Montana law that singles out transgender people will now face strict scrutiny, meaning the state must prove the law serves a compelling interest and is narrowly tailored to achieve it—a standard that laws almost never survive.

"Because the decision rests entirely on the Montana Constitution, it is insulated from the U.S. Supreme Court. Under the principle of adequate and independent state grounds, the federal Supreme Court cannot review a state court's interpretation of its own constitution, so long as that constitution provides more protection than the federal one. Had these designs in my head for quite a while, and since it's unlikely I'll ever get to Asgore's sections of the AU (at least in a timely fashion), I figured I'd share them all with you. One of the first pieces of Undertale fanart I ever did was designs of the fallen humans (unfortunately, I have no idea where that drawing resides now), so drafting up these ones was a fun 'full circle' exercise

(For those curious how these would function in a 'gameplay' format, they would serve as surprise minibosses in certain areas before eventually coming together for an all-out assault in the last stages of the game.)
