A comic about the spectrum of responses to stress - we talk alot about the more extreme ends of this and trauma, but the more subtle and every day responses can be harder to spot. if we can understand our own and other’s responses better, problems Are easier to confront and blaming is less likely to happen :) hope it’s helpful!!

Also we talked about how we never expected to live as long as we have and the weird limbo it’s left us in in relation to our peers and our plans in life.

They mentioned how they had casually dropped not planning on being around this long when a person their age casually compared their positions in life and that being responded to as “well shit. If I hadn’t planned on being around I wouldnt have what I have”

And it actually allowed me to release a lot of the judgement I hold against myself when I am so very different in my “life accomplishments” compared to my sister—my first memory of suicidal ideation and desire is in fact one of my very first memories.

Of course things are so different for me. My sister always planned on being around and always had plans for life. I never really have.

people going to such lengths to anonymize themselves and hide details in their stories so nothing leads back to them and like... the stories are all the same. they're all the same. same characters, same situations, same drama, same conclusions.
